We all know the consensus will probably me Rod Rhodes for his 20+ D1 players he's recruited in the last couple seasons, but who else? Heston Beverly, Rob Marcum, Knott Central Express getting all of JBS and Cam Justice out of Belfry or East Ridge wherever he came from. The 14th region has literally become a stepping stone for players before D1 basketball, so it kind of sells itself I guess. Any thoughts?

This crap is getting so old. This has gone on for years across the state but since there are a few really good teams in the mountains everybody wants to cry about recruiting everyday. I dont hear you guys crying about Scott Co the #1 team in the state and their best player was recruited from the 14th region.

Gilbert probably wasnt recruited from Wolfe. The kid just wanted to better himself and go play on a top team. He has been a Scott for several years.

Best Recruiter: Has to be Rod Rhodes. He brings in a new team every year. Heston has brought in some nice players to Perry Central to but not the overall numbers as Rhodes has. I think Perry is in the process of reinovating Dilce Combs Gym. They are going to put 10 small living quarters in there for the new recruits. Just hearsay.

Gilbert wasn't recruited. His family relocated and he had to try out. Hicks didn't know the kid from Adam. Last I checked Ballard is #1.

This has been getting a lot of attention over the past few years in the mountains. The funny thing is this kind of stuff goes on every year in other regions. Two teams come to my mind out of the 11th region.

Jerry Blanton and Mike Anderson are two great recruiters from Harlan Ind. Blanton brought in Todd Cox from Cawood and Charles Thomas from Cumberland and along with Michael Jones and Casey Lester they made a killer team back in the 90's. Well guess who is back and involved with the program? Yep you guessed it Mr. Blanton.

Hold on a minute. In Knott Co we catch hell from all these posters on here about our kids and Samons is the only player who plays any minutes that did not start here as a freshman. I personally do not think a kid is a transfer if he starts at a school his freshman yr. i did not realize Gilbert started his freshman yr at Scott.
