Longest district/regional title drought

Just curious who has the longest district title drought?

Fort Knox Boys (17th District, 5th Region)
-- Last District Title: 1989
-- Last Region Appearance: 1992 (District Runner-up)

Fort Knox Girls (17th District, 5th Region)
-- Last District Title: 1980
-- Last Region Appearance: 1986 (District Runner-up)

I'm pretty sure Fort Knox has NOT been to the region in ANY sport (both basketball, both soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball) since 2000 (volleyball)

In the 13th region, going district by district...

49th- I don't think OBI or Red Bird has ever won a district or region title.
50th- Whitley 1981 was there last district title. Never a region.
51st- I would think Lynn Camp. I don't think they have ever won a district or region.
52nd- That's a tough one. I would assume district wise, its either Harlan or Mboro, but both have won one and I don't think its been to long. HC hasn't won a region, but have only been existent for 7 or 8 years.

In the 59th
Pikeville has owned the district the past few seasons but hasn't won the 15th since 99
Shelby Valley obviously with their Sweet Sixteen victory in 2010
East Ridge hasn't won district or region since 04

In the 52nd:

Harlan County won in 2013
Middlesboro won in 2012
Bell County won in 2011
Harlan won in 2000

They did come close last year.

10th Region:

Nicholas County 2000 District, 1950s Region.
Saint Patrick 1998 District, never has won a region.

16th Region:
Fairview has never won Region.
Rose Hill has never won Region.

Did not know that about Fairview however.

If I'm not mistaken, I think someone said that Cordia hasn't won a Regional Title. I know they've been to the regional tournament in the past ten years, but it's been a while since they won a district title.

Jackson City went to the regional finals back in 2006 and won the district that year too.

Mayo led Rose Hill to the second round of the state tournament in 2003 where they blew a big double digit lead and lost to Ballard. Walker was not with the team at that time.

That is correct. They have been to the region as runner-ups but haven't won a district title since 1932. Of course the KHSAA discontinued girls basketball after the 1931-32 season. Didn't start it up again until the 1974-75 season.

OBI won a district title in 1959. Red Bird was in the Region finals in 98, but they didn't win the district (51st) that year. I'm not sure if they have ever won a title.

Definitely the best go to on KY high school bball.

OBI won the 49th district in 1977.

Jenkins hasn't won district I believe since 95! I know this because that was my senior year and I regret I didn't play that year. Lol don't think we ever won region. Don't know that much about past teams. LCC last won district when Raymond Justice was our coach and a little Cameron was in our gym shooting as a 5th grader I believe.

Jenkins last time they was in reg finals was 1968 loosing to Lee Co. Whitesburg last time winning region was 2002 making it to elite eight loosing to John Hardin. They went to finals numerous times but only have two reg titles. Fleming Neon had one regional finals in 1978. Don't think Letcher High School ever made a appearance . Someone let me know if any of this is off.

North Hardin (not John Hardin) beat Whitesburg in the 2002 state quarterfinals, 92-43.

Letcher nor Letcher County Central has never been to the Sweet 16.

Caldwell County has not won a Regional Title since 1963.
