Exciting game

Congratulations Wildcats! Cody Belter and Andrew Newsome had nice games tonight. Swindall did a great job on Parsley as well.
#3
Nothing pretty about this game one ugly game.

Not as ugly as Knott and LC.
At least this was close and no one got dog pounded

Was a good game. Swindall had an easy job tonight on Parsley. Don't know what SC coach strategy was for this game but it seems Parsley went to the corner and stood on the offensive end 2nd and 3rd qtr. don't understand...got talent and put it in a corner? I've seen coaches get out coached but SC Coach Smith got his team beat in this one. He needs to review film on this one and learn from his mistake.
#6
Belter was the difference maker. Andrew Newsome did a good job on the offensive glass. This is the first bad game I've seen from Tyler Carr. Not sure if the knee injury was a factor... It was pretty clear that Parsley was not happy with Coach Smith's strategy.

Strategy got em beat. Guards like to play especially one like Parsley. Sad when a referee comes up to you and says"what was he thinking best player on the floor" and this is not hear say heard it with my own ears. With what I saw Parsley had a right. Can't play standing in a corner. Don't know the stats but but it seems Parsley shot very few shots while James probably missed more than Parsley shot. Can't key on one player it takes the team to win.

first game I have got to go watch all year but I have heard a lot of talk this year and it is pretty clear who they want in the spotlight but I got news for ya if Parsley don't go the cards don't go so it looks like it may be a long season but I hope they can pull it together good luck on the rest of season
#9
I listened to the radio and I seriously doubt smith got out coached. It seems to me like valley dominated on the offensive boards. It's only the 3rd loss and one was to knott so let's not get to excited.
#10
Didn't say Sc coach got out coached. Said he got the team beat. His strategy just didn't work. Maybe he can learn from this one....who knows
#11
Everyone loves a coach when they are winning but start losing and it's the same ole song and dance...this coach is not a puppet
#12
Coach Smith sit him because Parsley thinks he knows more than the coach and smarted off to him. Coach did the right thing. It's a team game. Parsley shoots twice as much than anyone on the team but I guess he thinks he should shoot them all. Maybe he will learn from this and the cards will continue to get better.

Most teams I have watched over the years there best player usually does shoot a few more shots than everyone else. But if I was a card fan like you guys I would be shutting my mouth and quit steering stink. Just let it go and let the coach do his job.

I am a Cards fan and support Coach Smith 100%. He has coached at the college level and I am sure he knows more about basketball than me and coachfan. Cards are 10-3 and are one of the best teams in the region. We just lost to a good Valley team and some people get a little crazy. The Cards will be fine and I look forward to the rest of the season.

Not sure 15 points 10 rebounds is a bad game, but Belter and Newsome were HUGE.

Carr is leaps and bounds better than Parsley.
No comparison

Impartial to both teams just a bball fan. Came to watch what I thought would be a good game. Have watched Parsley play many games. The most talented guard I've seen play. Disagree with you on Carr. Just calling it as I see it. The games I've watched Parsley .....he is a very respectful player. Don't know his exact stats but I'm sure his assist avg is pretty good. Not crying because Cards lost bit in my opinion coach lost this one for them

From past games Carr just seemed to have a off night shooting but grabbed 11 rebounds. Unlike Parsley he did other things to help his team win.

You should really get out more. This state is full of talented guards many of which will play at the next level. That's the bottom line, not who's better than who, in your OPINION. There are many RESPECTFUL players across the state too! Losses can be blamed on a multitude of things, but in the end it is the players that must execute and overcome adversity. It is in my OPINION that Shelby Valley did that, even though they did not get a good whistle last night.

I was able to watch this game and if you don't know a lot about basketball Shelby valley was playing a chaser on the parsley kid. That means anytime he got the ball and dribbled he would be double teamed. I have seen many teams over the years isolate the player being chased and play 4 on 4. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't SC cut the lead to a one possession game late in the 4th quarter so I wouldn't say the coach's strategy lost the game. Shelby Valley is one of the top 2 teams in the 15th region and may win it. Sounds like some jealousy between somebody that knows parsley. Better watch this could ruin a team. Just my 2 cents

You're right, "bad" was probably not the right word. He just wasn't as "on" offensively as he has been basically all season... He did do a nice job on the boards though.

LC and KCC was a close game until the 4th Qtr.
KCC had SC 38-7 at the half LC will be the team to beat JC for the 15th.
I'm going to say LC is going to go on a BIG TIME winning streak the rest of season.
Time will tell. SC and SV will have to play a lot better than they did last night to keep up with the dawgs. Neither team made very many shots. Would love to know the teams field goal percentages, had to be low.

I would love to know LC's shooting percentage against Perry and Knott it was horrible as well.
They did not score much at all in the second half of those games.
Right now, SC controls their own destiny for the #1 seed in that district.
#24
That's exactly the game I saw too....players and parents need to trust their coach....that's what it comes down to....
#25
LC will have to shoot it outside to beat JC and SC. They won't get a ton of lay ups on them. Lawrence Co fans do a lot of bragging on here for a team that hasn't been out of the district in at least 5 years. But the good news is that won't be a problem next year in the 60th.
#26
I was curious..., since when is it required for ANY coach on ANY level to have to give parents or bleacher creatures their game strategy?
#27
Goes back to trusting the coach....

Carr didn't get frustrated because he wasn't scoring like he usually does....he did other things to help his team win...Coachfan needs to just be a fan because that's what you are....support your team and coach and stop worrying about points....winning is the most important thing....
