What are your thoughts on the 2014 Bobcats? Returning almost everyone on both sides of the Ball. The Future Looks Bright!

Mills does a great job. Corbin returns almost everybody next year also. That should be a great game.

Bell will be fine they should get some of their playmakers back like dillion cox ,Evan brock and Isaac Muncy they was injured almost all year. And bell will be a more mature team.

I honestly expect about the same.

Of course you do................................but then again you seem to know very little, espescially about Bell Co. football.
Lots of excitment for the upcoming season for a number of reasons, new field, ton of experience coming back and some kids that lost the season due to injury will get to play. I honestly think Brock is 1 of the better RB in EKY if not the state. Put him in with an older Caldwell, Woolum, Swanner, Muncy and Humfleet you will have a heck of a Backfield. Something more along the lines of what Bell Co. fans have came to expect. With Collett now being a Jr. having Gilbert, Cox, Nathan Collett and Asher all as capable recivers the offense will really be scary. Not to mention Bell played great defense in the 2nd half of the season and most of those guys are back. Lookout!!!
2014 will be fun on the mountain. :flame:

We'll see.
It's going to be down hill from here for Bell. I see the program slowly losing more and more games each year.
12-10-2013, 08:58 AM
Still aren't gonna be number one in the county hahaha
12-10-2013, 09:05 AM
Bell returns a lot and they got better each week over the season. Bell will win the district next year, beat Mboro and have a good shot to make it to BG.
12-10-2013, 09:10 AM
I do think they will be better, but Middlesboro lost a lot less than Bell. You will not win your district, Corbin will. No State for Bell.
12-10-2013, 09:13 AM
The key for us is will those kids we lost last year play. Right now it doesn't look good. Brock and Cox parents say no. I hope they do. We will be better. Even if they don't.

So you are saying that Bell will lose more games in 14 than than this season. I will take that bet.

Awwww, too soon for an avatar bet!!

Bell will be very good.

The Bobcats have a huge upside, I always like to watch how much a kid improves from his soph to his Jr year and the Bobcats have a really nice Jr class coming in this year. Woolum Swanner Muncy Collett Baker Murry and Kyle Lee just to name a few all starters as soph, ex Muncy who was injured but would have played. now add in all 10 JR's that will be seniors and Bell will once again be a good football team with a lot of kids that have play 2 or more years. Most of all I'm looking forward to watching Justin Green play linebacker as a senior, last years leading tackler and captain of the Defense. Green and Swanner will be two of the best linebackers in the Region next year and Bell's defense will pitch a lot of shut outs

Here we go!!!! The best , the best, the best....Bell fans are back now that the season is over.
You were 6-4 this year. and were lucking to be that with Corbin game. Same 6-4 record next year, at best.
I don't normally agree with what Gut says, but Same success next year and then down hill. Both years have been and will be below standards set at Bell.

which is better than your team that went 3-7 and didn't even make the playoffs but, good luck to you next year who knows you might actually be 500 and whitley might win 2 games

Who is his team? Bell County will be fine next year. Bell and Corbin will battle for the top spot in the district.
12-10-2013, 01:47 PM
South Laurel is who he's always posting for
12-10-2013, 01:54 PM
The thing that upsets Bell is that some of the other programs like ours at South are on our way up and Bell future is not bright. Like I said they will be better next year , but the same record 6-4. Corbin , Wayne may flop , W-L.
If Whitley hires Hilton, mark it down they will beat you. Then 5-5.

3-7 and missing the playoffs is on the way up ? since when ? IF IF IF IF Hilton isn't gonna get it done. I think Whitley has good upside they where just a injury or two away from having a great season last year but, South will need to make the playoffs and get a win to impress me
12-10-2013, 02:11 PM
Bell will be better, but by no means world beaters, normally if they return that many they would be competing for a State Championship. Now they are only competing for a district championship. That is the difference. The problem is no one fears going there now like in the past.
I hear that some will not play for them that they are counting on.

That is our goal for next year to impress you. Really, Hilton, you would give anything if he had not left your program. The fall has started and things will not get better. I know it is hard for you guys. Welcome back to reality, there are some new, King of the Mountains, we will not miss you guys there. LOL

I agree ^^^^ there are probably two that are Questionable at least. (speculation>) I think it will come down to a parents decision if they play due to injuries from last year and fear of re-injury and how that will effect them later in life. I would think you take every precaution possible even if it mean not playing but I hope it works out that they can play. Great KIDS

This year was Bell's rebuilding year.
2014 is a bridge year...
2015 I see Bell returning form.
Bell returns a lot of players on offense...but at the same time this was a weak offensive team. Bell did not even have 2000 rushing yards on the season and averaged a minute 13.8 points per game in their 5 losses. Bell did improve this year...the team who lost to Middlesboro was not the same team who lost to Central.
I think you see a quality product take the field in 2014 that will show marked improvement... but at the same time I still don't see Bell having the horses to compete for a State Title.
This Bell team sort of puts me in mind of Belfry in 2010. The Pirates in 2009 were not a very good team and it is the only team in the past 11 years not to reach the Semi-Finals. Belfry was very young on offense in 2010 and were very frustrating because they would show flashes of brilliance, but then make awful mistakes.
They went 6-4 during the regular season and lost to Sheldon Clark. Belfry beat Pike Central to force a 3-way tie but finished second in the tie-breaker due to all their regular season losses thanks to a tough schedule. The young Belfry team meshed in the playoffs though and they upset Mason County on the road (ranked #3 I believe), caught a match-up break when Russell beat Sheldon Clark, and then upset an undefeated Somerset team at home in the Semi's.
Belfry ended up getting crushed in the Finals.. but that team overachieved when it mattered and it set them up for a run of three straight strong teams. I could see a very similar path for this Bell team.. Central will be vulnerable again this year and a 3-way tie for the District is well within reason. Upset Central in Round 2... win the Region...then host the Semi's. with a team who will be even more seasoned.

Bell wouldn't have stood a chance against the teams middlesboro took a loss to. They'll lose next year as well to middlesboro. Middlesboro will have over 20 seniors next year. Hope you're ready to go down again bell county. I made my name rising jackets for a reason a couple of years ago!!!!!!

New king is "Belfry".
EKU Bell is not the only team that improved during the season. Most others did as well. Bell will not be the Bell of old any time soon.
