How is somebody selected for a Moderator/Administrator position on BGR?
#1
Just curious how somebody gets that Blue or Red banner.
#2
You must slip a little something under the table to the "right" people.

#3
I think Stardust should have a custom banner that is Black & Yellow that matches Dusty Rhodes' old WWF singlet he wore at WM 6.
#4
Yes, that or announcing to the world that he and Gut are coming out........together.

All "donations" can be sent to a private PO box just outside of Atlanta.

Or PM me for an accout number to a Swiss bank account.

For anything under 100,000, simply use paypal on here Confusednicker:

This is how its suppose to be...

Regular members who have an account has a name the same as yours.

Donatin members get a [Image: http://www.bluegrassrivals.com/forum/ima...onator.gif], as well as there name being red.

Moderators get a [Image: http://www.bluegrassrivals.com/forum/ima...erator.gif], as well as a dark blue name. (Notice mine is still red because i like red better. All other mods names are in blue that i know of)

Administrators get a [Image: http://www.bluegrassrivals.com/forum/ima...trator.gif], as well as a name in black.

This is how the site is set up so members cant identify staff if they need help with a situation.

Let me also add, that a mod cannot change the data of your account, such as changing your name color, your post count, your likes, etc, all that has to be done by a admin.

I'm seriously impressed Gut. You have just been a wealth of information lately.
#8
As for your questions on how members become mods, to my knowledge, its a collective decision. If a moderator is needed, each mod is free to weigh in on nominated members and also who they think should be one.
Its been a long time since weve promoted a member to moderator. If im not mistaken, Panther Thunder was the last to be promoted and thats been a while. If im also thinking correctly, I was before him and you know how long ive been one....

There are currently around 15 mods or so that post on the site. You may not even know some of them because they dont post much, but they are there. As far as administrators go, Dusty and BelfryPride are the only two i can think of thats still on here.

Basically you have to be good at raising all sorts of hell without breaking the rules

A fine quality only a certain few are born with.

For an entire list of mods/admins/founders/donating members/and VIPs, here is a link to all of that....

http://www.bluegrassrivals.com/forum/showgroups.php

Pay no attention to the first group. We use to have mods set up to moderate on certain forums, but no longer do. The tage just stuck with those members.

After that you can see several admins and mods, some of which have kept there title, but even i havent met some of them.

You'll also see a group of "executives". This only includes Midee and Stardust. Thats kind of the formal ranking. Think of them, then Admins, then Mods, however, in todays BGR, its more or less them and everyone else. Admins are basically mods with a different title.

If it hasnt changed, like yours, you'll have to get up with Dusty and ask him.
Its suppose to change automatically, but here recently it hasnt been.
Dusty changed Grannys for her the other day...

I would like to know how they decide who the administrators are. Just for example - RunItUpTheGutt seems way smarter than some of the administrators but he is only a moderator. What is up with that!

RIUTG maybe secretly wants to be an administrator? Or could you be his boyfriend?

Why would you say something so stupid? I think that you may just be a little bit jealous that people respect the job that RunItUpTheGut and the other moderators are doing. :devilflam

And also, did you notice how many predictions that RunItUpTheGut got right? He must have predeicted that your team would be an early exit and I bet he was right to.

If I want to post some really big pictures without posting a message, is there a size limit to what I can upload? Or are the limits different for administrators than for plain old moderators and members?

It's just a fact....

That was not a very helpful response. I guess i will just have to learn by trial and error if the moderators are not willing to help a new member out. Sorry to bother you with a question.
