As it usuall does, whe two high powered offenses meet up, the week is spent on the defensive side of the ball and figuring out how to stop them. Just as things have gone, the arams didnt break in the redzone. Both teams played pretty clean without many penalties. Raceland defense just came up with a few more stops and were aboe to keep the ball out of Pikeville's hands. Great effort in the 2nd half. We were FLAT coming out on the offensive side of the ball. 1st ever Regional Championship! On to Williamsburg!

Man what a game and effort by both teams. Hated to see either team lose this game. They should put this one on ESPN classic . What a great year for the Panthers and sad to see the seniors in their last game for some but what about the Rams first Regional championship as it was long overdue. A big salute to both programs, staff, and fans. What a game :Cheerlead

Great game!
Score of 3-0 at half was unbelieveable!
Rams dominated the second half
Pikeville backs run very hard. Best team we have played so far this season.
Finally the line took over a little. And the backs ran with some aggression.

Where's the guy who said we would never hold Pikeville to 6 points? They only scored half of that! Honestly great defensive struggle by both teams. I never thought Pikeville would hold us to 14 points.

Congrats to the Rams! You could tell that the muddy/sloppy field gave both teams some fits. It was a great game and a great defensive battle!

That would be me. And anyone else who has seen Pikeville play this year would never have imagined only 3 points. I gave Raceland their props. Good luck from here on out.

I like the muddy/sloppy field.Thats what football is all about.These new turf fields are killing the game.Its about the mud and muck and the grass stains. Who wants to play a game and not even get dirty.I don't think that the field played a big part in it at all,it was just to good teams that played some great defense tonight and I loved it.Good game Pikeville,and u Pikeville fans are great.I hope to see you guys in this game next year and for many more to come.Have a save trip home .

I just want to say Pikeville played a tough, clean game from what I saw. I definitely could see how this team put up such big numbers on the year with Estep, Hall, etc. wish I could have seen them play in a different game this year to see their speed showcased more. Thankfully I didn't have to see that tonight. It's honorable to beat a good team and Pikeville is definitely that. With all that said, congrats to my Rams on our first regional championship! Now let's take the next step and do our thing in Williamsburg! GO RAMS!!

Pikeville is definitely the classiest team we played this year. Some of the teams we have played had some turds on the field. Pikeville kids played hard and clean tonight. Nice to see that in these days and times.

Daylin Beach took over the second half. That young man is special. As good as we've ever had here in Ramland. Big time effort by the Ram defense! REGION CHAMPS!! Congrats Rams!

Pikeville kids and fans and coaches are top notch. Great kids and very well coached. you can also tell that they are well raised also. No trash talking and no cheap shots. Very good program and these Pikeville kids are very nice young men.

I was thinking that it would have some effect on Pikeville, but not both teams like it did, I was terribly wrong on the other score 34 by Raceland, but Pikeville had great year and was a lot better then I expected when I watched this game. The Hall Kidd can flat out play.

In reality, both programs mirror each other in tradition, attitude, and class. Great game tonight.

Pikeville has a much better tradition than Raceland. Raceland put a notch in there belt as far a tradition goes.

2 mistakes on special teams cost the Panthers in the 2nd half. A bad snap on a punt gave Raceland 1st and Goal in which they scored and a muffed punt that gave Raceland great field position. I'm not pointing fingers or making excuses. These things happen on a sloppy field. Raceland had some snaps on punts that could've very easily gotten away from them. Pikeville had opportunities to score but they couldn't capitalize. I give Raceland all the credit in the world for the win. They are a good team and showed a lot of class after the game. I wish them the best. Congrats to my Panthers and Coach Mac and his staff on a fine season and good luck to all of our seniors in their future endeavors...Once a Panther...ALWAYS a Panther! Get in the weight room and get better guys! HAIL PIKEVILLE!!!

Raceland also a had a couple times they should have scored, Elkins took it in the end zone and called back for off sides. Also, a fumble after a great catch and run on the move to score. Both teams played good tonight with a lot of heart. Pikeville and Raceland always have respect for each other and both have Class programs! After the game I felt bad for the loser and the tears those young men had in their eyes, they are a bunch of classy young men.

very surprised that this is Raceland's 1st regional crown with the tradition & great teams that have went thru there. Congrats to the Rams & pulling for them to win it all!
