NCC @ Gallatin County
#1
The 10-2 wildcats host the 8-4 Breds, who wins???
#2
I'm pulling for David in this one. I think NCC has too many horses in this match up (sorry for the pun). Good luck GC and congrats on a great season.
#3
:devilflamNCC SHOULD win this one by how much 91?
#4
Ncc
#5
NCC by 12.
#6
If NCC wins by 12, they will be disappointed and not real confident going into the final 2 weeks. I heard the spread in Vegas was NCC (-28.5). Can someone confirm? Lol
#7
NCC names it. Running clock in 2nd qtr. Although GC is a passing team, instead of being 3 run plays and out it will be 3 passing plays and out. NCC's d-ends and occasional stunt will cause GC qb to get rid of the ball before he wants too. Special teams dominate in this one. Look for 2 td's on punt return.

Not sure why GC is even playing this game, running clock in the 2nd quarter, 3 special team td. Guess it`s just a formality. Earlier night out of the rain for us. But then maybe it just doesn`t turn out the way everybody wants it to. We shall see.

Sorry SuperDave, gonna end exactly how it has the last two years. Only difference, it's being played at Gallatin and not at Newport. Great season, but first good team the wildcats have played all year.
#11
You are probably right on with your prediction. Yes NCC will be the toughest team we will have played all season. But we are a little better than we were in the last 2 meetings and NCC this year is not the same as they have been the last 2 years. I don`t believe it`s going to be the blowout that everybody is expecting. If I`m wrong I`ll be the first to admit it.

NCC cruises. This is why they play the big schools during the season. District games and most of the playoffs are a breeze.
#13
NCC is on their own level in that region. Great run for Gallatin, but NCC is too physical, too athletic, and too quick for the Wildcats.

NCC running clock, but I hope Gallatin uses the playoff run to build that program. They've had an awesome season
#14
Gallatin has suprised some people this season. But their schedule wasnt too incredibly tough. Hope both teams stay injury free.

NCC 49
GC 12

I agree hopefully Gallatin County uses this season to build. I would expect a blowout unless Nate McCoy goes Tim Tebow (not likely).

Either way a great season for McCoy-
Offense
52 rush..... 399 yds ........ 6 tds...... 6.7 ypr
47 rec....... 1062 yds ..... 13 tds...... 22.6 ypc...... 88.5 ypg

Defense
14 ints 3 fr 1 TD

S/T
4 PR 141 yds 35.4 ypr 2 tds
9 KR 336 yds 37.3 ypr 2 tds
3 -- 2pt conversions

He totaled for 1938 yds this season and 24 tds and a grand total of 147 pts out of 349 total.

Gallatin Loses Chapman, McCoy, & Lawrence. Basically you start with a whole new passing attack next season but Brown is an effective back to build around next season.

Can anyone confirm that he holds the record for most interceptions in a season?? I was told he did but I cannot find any information on it.

Also a great Career finishing with a career total 44 games of-

170 rec ........... 2846 yds ........... 28 tds ........... 64.68 ypg ........... 16.7 ypc

572 rush yds ............... 86 att .................... 6.6 ypr .......... 9 tds

1/1 passing ........... 17 yds

23 ints ............... 9 fr ................ 1 td

7 - 2 pt conversions

42 total tds + 7 two-point = 259 total points as primarily a Wideout

Gallatin County will be sad to lose this kid.

Their schedule was the same this year primarily as it has been every other year. People need not to discount their record and run this year as being due to an easy schedule. 10-2 with any schedule is great, but playing and beating the other teams in their district that they have had trouble with in the past proves this team is improved. This was a group of kids that had been watched ever since they were freshmen and looked upon as the group who would take Gallatin County to another level and they did. Playing in a Regional Championship game with a 10-2 record for a school who only started Varsity football in 2006 is phenomenal. Go Cats!

Sure, 10-2 does look great, looks better than 8-4. But, 8-4 and losing to SK, Dixie, CCHS and cooper, is nothing to be ashamed about. Not trying to be disrespectful, the wildcats have had a great season. Truth is however, they go 1-9 playing NCC's schedule. They definitely beat Brossart. Facts are facts. 10-3 is a fine season, should be very proud, just gonna end with a blowout.

NCC will be to much for Gallatin.

In no way shape form or fashion did I even allude to the idea that Gallatin was a better team because their record is better. All I said is that their record was EARNED against teams they play year in and year out in which they usually finish closer to .500 or a little better. This years group has brought Gallatin to another level and hopefully it continues for years to come. Coach Browning and his staff are more than excellent football coaches...they are excellent men who honestly care about their athletes.

Just wanted to let you know that this game was far from a blowout. 6-6 at halftime and two turnovers took Gallatin out of this game. 34-13 was the final, but the game was much more interesting than the final tally shows. Gallatin stood toe to toe with NCC and I not for a few mishaps this could have turned into a great one.

Congrats to NewCath.
#24
I was wrong, I thought NCC wouldn't have any issues in this one, but Gallatin County put up a fight.

No it wasn't. At no point did anyone feel, at least from NCC's side that galatin could win. Was nothing Gallatin did, NCC was doing it to them selves. What a joke TD catch, the Gallatin WR never even caught it and they ruled it a TD, joke call by the official. TD with 4 seconds to go against NCC's 3rd team defense and the Gallatin coach burned 3 time outs in the last minute to get that. The field was nasty. Great season Gallatin, but wasn't as close as the 34-6 score.

34-12 is a blowout btw. In no way did you stand toe to toe.
