That's really sad. I hope everything is okay and he recovers soon.

I heard earlier today that his hip socket was broke and there was also a break in the upper thigh. Not sure how reliable the informant was.
#34
Hope he gets back to full health.
#35

#36

Thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, and teammates.
#38
Prayers with him for a full recovery. With that type of injury it doesn't look good for his playing career.

We get on here and argue about whos team is better which player is better etc. When something like this happends you realise this is so trival life is far more important than the game we all seem to love.I sincerly wish this kid a speedy and full recovery thank God it wasnt more serious. Is he a senior or what hope he gets to play again before he graduates if he is.

I hope the best for him, but if any of that is true, it's hard to see him coming back 100%, and if all of it is true, then it is hard to see him continuing in athletics any at all.

God bless... my prayers go out to him and his family

This is in fact true, spoke with a friend of the family to day. The doctors have set his leg at Cabell Huntington and are wanting to fly him to Lexington to have the hip repaired. This young man is going to have a long rode to recovery and is going to need our prayers.

Hunt is one heck of an athlete in both basketball and football but the important thing is to right now get well. Best wishes on a speedy recovery from all of Paintsville.

Playboy, I understand that you wish to know more about his condition but people will post when they find something out. Please stop flooding this thread with the same question or word continuously. I found it annoying and hard to sift through when I opened it yesterday. I'm sure they will keep the updates on here as soon as new information comes forth. Thank you.

Just heard that Charlie came thru surgery fine for the hip repair. It looks like he might be in a wheelchair for approx. 6 weeks. This young man is still in need of our prayers and thoughts for certain he will have a long rode to recovery.

We should all forget about sports, and send our thoughts, and prayrs...this is this young man's life...it's far more important than sports, if he gets to play again (and I hope he does) its just a testament to his character! (and he seems to have plenty)

best of luck Charley!!!!

Hello everyone,I just found out about this site and all the people who are praying and asking about Charlie Hunt.I am Charlie's aunt.First I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and get well wishes. Charlie had to have a rod put in his left thigh. He also had surgery on his pelvis. The doctors are very optimistic that Charlie will have a full recovery and be back on the baskeball court next season.I just spoke with him on the phone and he says he is in some pain but feels ok. Keep him in your prayers.Once again Thank You All
