#3
Cov Cath on the road and still hurting with injuries, JC has been steam rolling thier competition. who do you like?
#4
JC by 30 this is where they make there statement. Represent our district well eagles.
#5
If CC is healthy, I take them in a close one, 28-21
#6
will be the best competition eagles have faced this season & expect this one to be very close with JC winning on FG in closing minutes. JC 24--CC 21.
#7
Already a thread started on this one........

One game at a time......

Rowan County dominated the time of possession in its game with Covington Catholic. Barring a rash of Johnson Central fumbles, next Friday night will be a nightmare for the Colonels' defense. I am going to be optimistic and predict that JC will win the TO battle and win by 28.

JC will be looking forward to Highlands this week.
All Highlands film time. No time to worry about CC.

Another post I saw said CC rested 10 starters today and won with mainly backups. CoV cath played Moeller earlier this year. JC won't scare them.

I take JC by 17-21 points. CCH will really miss having their starting QB out of the game, just not the same passing game without him. Highlands spread their D out and JC will have them pack it in, can CCH stop the inside run. We will get a better feel of how good JC is this week from the CCH fans who will have faced both JC and HHS.
#13
I am curious how many game films from this season each coach goes over?

Scared or not, Covington Catholic will not even slow down Johnson Central's running game. If they have that many starters who are so banged up that they require extra rest this late in the season, then their chances of emerging from next week's game healthy and with a win are pretty slim.

JC by 2 to 3 tds.

You act like it is a bad thing to rest players in a totally over matched game. If you have a player the least bit sore do not chance making it worse and allow them to go into the game at their best. What makes you think they will not even slow JC down? Their size is better equipt to stop JC than a team like HHS that spreads it out. But I do think JC controls the clock and comes away with the win.

Like I said before, Rowan County dominated the time of possession today by running the ball straight up the middle. RC has nowhere near the talent that JC has in the backfield, so it stands to reason that JC will move the ball easily on the ground. Only penalties and fumbles will stop JC drives. If Covington Catholic can't light up the scoreboard, they will not win. 41 points against JC will not be enough, IMO.

You live in a little world all by yourself .

It won't matter when it comes to JC. I think most of you Nky fans are lulled to sleep thinking JC can't throw the ball. I hope you all continue to live in that little world, because they can indeed. They simply have not had to. Has everyone forgotten the game a few years ago when JC almost beat HHS? It was the pass that was JC's weapon and element of surprise...Matney has been able to live in a perfect world this year in that he has not had to show anything at all. Unless JC has to reveal anything against CovCath, all 12 game films of this year will be almost useless.

Is it Friday night yet???

That may have been the hardest hit I've ever seen/heard/felt in a high school game.... ever.

Truman hits people. He is definitely no prima donna. He's a strong, big kid who can do a lot of different things on a football field.

If he had been playing football his whole HS career instead of taking time off, he'd probably be mentioned already as a legit D-1 prospect at tight end. He's got the size and a frame he could put even more muscle on, and he's fast, moves well, and has good hands.
