Bill Mike Runyon is as good as any coach in the state. Not many can match what he has done at a small school in the mountains.

Are we talking about best coaches or best recruiters.

Is Geoff Cody that took the job at Western Hills the same Geoff Cody that played basketball at KCC?

Tony Pietrowski in 13th. Does more with less than anyone in the region.
Rodney Woods in 12th.

I really like Coach Holland and his style of play. He would be hard to beat as the best in the 14th.

What's everybody's opinion on John Bentley from estill co

I think Wes Scarberry at Model isn't bad. By no means is he top three in 11th but if he was in a different situation his teams would play well. Somebody give Scarberry a chance in the 11th.

I think Henson at Augusta does an outstanding job. Also I really like Noble at Buckhorn. They are both coaches who do not get enough credit for the job they have done.

13th Roscoe Denny. If you can win a state championship with Steve Wright as head man you have to be good. That is a lot to overcome.

13th Region-Mike Jones, Robert Marcum, Phipps.
14th Region- Big Al Holland, King, rhodes.

I would have to say Woods in the 12th always seems to to better than expected, and he does it with hometown players.

I agree Woods does an excellent job at Wayne. He has won quite a few regional titles. Does anyone have an exact number for him?

no doubt Petrowski is among the best in the area. But Brad Sizemore deserves mention as well. Took a NL team that had never had real success and won a region. Got them back to the region last year. This year they'll struggle because of a down group of talent, but he'll have them competing year in year out.

Nothing against Sizemore. I'm sure he is a good young coach. But when I think of the best coaches I think of coaches that compete for championships year in and year out. I think Sizemore is capable of that some day. However, to say that a coach that has only one regional championship and no district championships and has an overall losing record deserves mention as the best coach in the 13th region is kind of absurd.

Renner, Hicks, Woods and Runyon are locks. Pietrowski is close to a lock. Wright deserves some consideration in the 12th, but I agree with your choice of Woods.
