So guess it time to get this game started on here. Belfry at Southwestern. Lets here who the studs on southwestern are and some of the match ups for the game.

The Warriors are down this year. They play with big hearts though, and I look for them to never quit!!

Southwestern is much better than what we was expected of them... they have played 3 quality opponents and equated themselves very well in all of them.
If both teams bring their A games I take Belfry by 28
Pirates cant have a letdown or lock it in cruise control after the big win or Southwestern is the type of team who will jump up and surprise you.

As long as the PIRATES don't let this last win go their heads they will be fine. Any mistakes made against Harlan Co. will be corrected and the coaches will do their best to have them focused on the task at hand. Looking for Horton to wreak HAVOC once again on the Warrior offense and if Johnson runs the ball like he did against the Bears then watch out. Carr is do a big game and as always Hatfield will be a beast at Fullback. Just need to work on hanging on to those passes. GO PIRATES!!!!!! 42-14

Southwestern line is big, but they can't match Belfrys speed. Belfry should handle this one without much trouble.

I think Belfry comes out a little over confident in this one, but I hope I'm wrong. Especially after Southwestern beat Somerset.

Some of the players that will be on the field know each other real well. They played together on Team Ky last year and during the east/west all star weekend. So going to be good to see the boys back together again. Looking forward to seeing how some of the boys have progressed that play for southwestern.

It is tough to come out week after week emotionally high. Kids will sometimes look at an opponent and have a lapse in mental preparation if they think they already have it won. Belfry's staff is great at getting them prepared, but sometimes there is nothing you can do about this issue.
With the youth on this team, I hope they don't celebrate this big win too much this week and get an inflated self image. This is where the upperclassmen on the team can take the younger guys to school. You have to prepare each week the same for everybody and come out on Friday and give it 100%.
We have a job to do, and that is to use each week we are given to prepare ourselves for the shot at another state championship. If we take one week off, one day of practice even, then we are cheating ourselves. If the guys come out this Friday, on another long road trip, and take care of business then I will be a happy camper.

What big win is everyone talking about Belfry having already. They play tuff games weekly and i dont think they approached the HC game as a big game. Only big game that counts to them is played during the 15th week of the season. I think Belfry keeps a level head every game and never over looks anyone or looks to the next game. I think they are aware that anay team they play could beat them on any given night. I noticed some people mentioned they are young and might be overconfident. Little do people know that the Belfry young'ens have already played with some of the Southwestern team and they know they can play and aint afraid to hit. Remember almost every member of the team played in a state championship game last year for Belfry, so they should be ready any night to play.

Playing tuff team weekly prepares you for the playoffs, these teams that play these creampuffs get a false reading on how good they are and there season is done round two of the playoffs.

Belfry should be the favorite. But I wouldnt count as SW. They are very big up front and will be hard to move.

Your head was in the right place though, and you hit the nail on the head. I hope Belfry doesn't look a little past Southwestern but I think they might.

belfry takes this one .defense is coming around should only get better at this point.justin johnson is a man among boys don,t need 20 carries to get a hundred yds or better. good luck pirates have a safe trip come back with the win

JJ did a great job and proved he could step up in a big game...however those big young MEN up on that line is the real reason BELFRY gets all them yards...But i know, Sani, Austin, Trenity, X,and JJ appreciate em...
