Lawrence Co vs Fairview 9/6
#1
thoughts?

I ready to see this game at home. Hope all players for both sides are healthy and ready to play, I don't want any excuses. This will be a good test for the Dawgs, if LC walks away with a win by more than 20 I do think that "the big team down the road" will be in for a game.!!:police:

Fairvirw did hold out several starters against Johnson Central that is a fact , & was told the reason was because they wanted to rest those players who were a little banged up , & not show to much , which i thought was stupid . Fairview had one for sure starter that plays both O , & D that didnt dress against East Carter , but still looked very very sluggish , & rusty . If Fairview plays Lawerence the way they played East Carter the Bulldogs will have a field day . Oh & for the record if Fairview had played all their starters against Johnson Central , they still would have thrashed Fairview

28-27 Fairview. I expect a better next week from the Eagles.
#7
You guys know that Fairview starts out slow and gets better as season goes on always have been like that. I believe that was 24 straight regular season wins talon be happy you have great program be supportive if your a fan
#8
From what I heard they played very hard and east carter defense is solid they held Raceland down for a half
#9
35-14 the dawgs will be barking on Friday while the eagles are picking up the loose feathers.
#10
I'm going with my Dawgs, of course, I'll try to keep it real with my prediction, so lets say, Dawgs 35 Eagles 28
#11
Should be a good game. I just think lc running game will be to strong to many weapons on offense for the dawgs. If they don't turn it over deep on their side of the field like they did at Rowan they should be ok. LC 35 Fairview 21

I agree russellpride Fairview does start out slow than gets better , i was just stating FHS was sluggish , & slow firing off of the ball , that if they play like that next week it could be a long night . I do indeed believe FHS will get better , & will be better next week . I think we now have a great program , & coach who i have complete confidence in . I have always loved , & supported my Eagles . I played there in high school , & have not missed a game in 27 seasons this will be my 28th season without missing a game if nothing happens .

This will be a game that we find out alot about both of these squads. East Carter has a program on the rise. They showed that with their effort against Fairview and a strong showing in the 1st half at Raceland, so I do believe Fairview faced an fair defense in EC. With that said, Fairviews line is huge, but from the sounds of it may be a little slow. Lawrence has alot of tallent in the backfield, as does Fairview. I think the difference is A.J. Cyrus. I go with the Bulldogs, 42-35. I dont think Fairview has the same defense as last year, not nearly as tenacious.

Disclaimer...if Fairview can get a 2td lead, McPeek will let McKnight loose off the edge and can cause problems in a hurry. Fairview plays well with a lead. Thats when their defense seems to pin their ears back., we will find out alot about both teams this week.

Dawgs 42 and the Eagles 28. GO LAWRENCE COUNTY!!!!!!!!!!!!
#17
Interesting predictions.
#18
This will be an interesting game, the Dawgs are hot right now and playing well, while it sounds like Fairview struggled a bit against a surprisingly decent EC team. Does Fairview have the horses to keep up with Cyrus and the gang?
#19
I'm not going to make any predictions but this should be a good one. Wish I could be there. Does anyone know if Morgan O'Brian is playing this year? I haven't been able to watch or listen to any games this year due to work.
#20
The Dawgs O line is still unteseted and will be a major factor. I think Fairview takes this one. It should be a great game either way.

I have all the faith in the world in the Oline, it's the Dline that I'm afraid will get exposed in a bad way at some point this year. Man I hope I'm wrong!!!

I do agree with you though, this Bulldog Oline ain't seen a real good defense yet this year. From what I've been told from people who have seen Fairview play is that the defense this year just don't have that aggressivness and speed to the ball like they had last year. This could be the game that the giant awakes and they beat us like they stole something but I believe we can play with em. I am sure of this though, if the game with EC is all they had and it wasn't just a bad game then it could be a long night for Fairview because I have no doubt in my mind that we are quite a bit better then EC IMO. We will find that out also because they are on our schedule.

It shows him being on the roster but I haven't heard his name called any this season. I will get to go to the game this week and that was one that I will be looking for. I can't wait to see this years team in action. They sound very impressive on the radio but man I miss getting to watch them in person.

WildDawg morgan is not playing this year he is working out getting stronger it has only been 9 or 10 months since his knee surgery. Looks like he will be ready for baseball.

This game should be very interesting for both sides. Lawrence County is rolling on offense rushing the football. It's going to be interesting to see what Fairview's game plan will be defensively to try and contain the rushing attack. It will be interesting to see how the Dawgs defense does against Fairview's offense also. This could be a battle!!!!

How did Monday Morning practice go today?
#28
East Carter was able to move on their defense. Lawrence should not have any trouble moving the ball, but must not turn it over. This game most likely will be determined by defensive play. The LC coaching staff has had the luxury to evaluate all of their players in game situations. They should have a good idea of what works on defense. The LC offense is clicking and has yet to see it's full potential. Fairview defense may still be a work in progress. I believe the LC defense will bend but not break. The LC multi-dimensional offense will wear down the Fairview defense. Should be one of the best high school games in the Tri-State. I'm thinking 24-16 LC.

Contain the rush? And the pass, its been a long time since I have seen LC with some many threats on the field at one time. I'M FIRED UP!!! :flame:
