Madison Southern 56 Whitley County 14
#1
Total Beatdown.
Probably could have been worse.
#2
Harris ran wild in this one.

Whitley just isnt a very good team, with bad fundamentals.

In post game radio show, Coach Black says the younger kids will play from now on. Not enough effort from the older kids to keep them in the game.

Were liable to see a whole slew of fresh faces for Whitley next week.

^Good to see a coach that plays the ones that play the hardest and try to prepare fo the future
#4
^
He also said he wouldnt waste his hard earned money to come watch the game next week with the play they had tonight Confusednicker:

Lol. I can imagine he is either Mr. Popular or about to be ran out of town, lol
#6
I guess WC is not quite what some folks thought they would be? How do they get run off the field like this? Pretty embarrassing really.

Well nobody thought they would be amazing, but when you struggle to hold onto to the football and lack fundamentals, its goes farther than the kids.

I predicted a 5-5 year, and im not sure theyll get to that point.

If he is run out of town, which he wont be, then we shouldnt hire in house. We need to go out and find a really good coach.

congrats to MS

Honestly I have to say I saw this coming. I didn't want to say it but knew it was coming all the way. I dread seeing that kid.
#11
Hopefully they can get things straightened out down there because I was not expecting MS to score that much! I heard that Damien Harris had 5 TDs by halftime! How many did he finish with?

LOSERS QUIT WHEN THEY'RE TIRED, WINNERS QUIT WHEN THEY HAVE WON

If Whitley threw the ball they would of made it very close. They have very good receivers that can catch!(Kevin Simpson and Dakoda Nantz) along with the Rbs. And a QB that can throw a perfect ball.(Austin Ysidro).

Yes Damien Harris ran all over the place. But if they where to pass it would of been a great and very close game!

If they stay to their run option running the same plays over and over they will never be any good. If Coach Bobby Gibbs which is the o-coordinator don't start calling pass plays he's gonna kill his team!

What do you all think?
#13
The way I see it is If Whitley would throw the ball a lot more they would have made this a great, and very close game. They have some of the best receiving core they've had in years with Kevin Simpson and Dakoda Nantz along with the Rbs. Austin Ysidro has a great arm, coming of a Librium surgery.
If coach Bobby Gibbs o-coordinator doesn't start realizing that he's killing his team by the same option run plays their never gonna be any good. You have to pass and keep teams on their toes!
What do you guys think?

Whitley seemed like they didn't even want to be there even during warm ups. The 2nd play of the game Harrisntook it up the gut for 91 yards only to have it called back, and then 2 plays later took one 64 yards for a score he had 5 tds at half. He played one play in the 2nd half and took it 50 plus for a TD and didn't play another snap. Coach Clark got his young guys in the game and played his freshman the entire 4th quarter so he didn't run it up but could have. GO EAGLES...lets beat Madison Central.

Harris is amazing. Just straight up a stud. The hype is all true. He is the real deal. Black went to far on the radio show. He singled out the older kids. They work to hard. He passed the buck a little to much in my opinion but that doesn't mean we played good. It was a bad game. Very. But just a bad day for Whitley.
#16
Man I have a hard time figuring Whitley out. A couple of years ago they played our rear ends off with young kids. What in the world happened?
#17
How many yards did Harris have?
#18
Whitley put a long drive together to start the first quarter that stalled deep in Madison Southern territory with a missed field goal attempt so Harris didn't take it anywhere on the 2nd play of the game lol.Whitley quit after that.
#19
the older kids work hard but they didn't put much effort into this game.it's time they play more younger guys anyway.they don't join the team to be spectators
#20
Harris sounds like the real deal. Wish him luck in the future.
#21
He doesn't need luck,just a little blocking
#22
Not sure the finals stats but he had to have at least 250
#23
266 yards and 5 TD's on 12 carries. That's a STUD!

It's the coach's responsibility to have them ready to play. I didn't hear the interview, but by throwing the upperclassmen under the bus, it seems like he is making excuses to me. Hopefully Whitley will pull together and still have a successful season.
#26
WOW!!! This kid has a bright future. I still wish he would change his mind and come to the dark side, the SEC!!!! lol
#27
Everybody is talking about us and Pulaski being the two teams to beat in the region but I will say this, YOU BETTER NOT SLEEP ON THIS TEAM!!! Especially with a beast like Harris.
#28
Its hard when you got players playing 3 & 4 ways the . A 5a school should not have to do that and i know that black has told these upper classmen that thgey was not going to be good and that next year would be whitleys year. Well if that was the case then more of these guys would be starting over the upper classmen. A coaching change is going to need to be made for this school to be successful.
#29
I said it back in the summer that PC and MS would be really good and would battle for that district championship and i more or less got laughed at.

Seems thats going to be the case.

Whitley needs to grow up and grow up fast.

Why we even attempt field goals anymore is beyond me.
