South FLoyd lost in the district tourney two years ago....They would have been a 5-peat!!! It sucked....also when they lost to JC in opening round of region held at SF...

I remember watching both those games volley coach, and they both were heartbreaking especially when they lost the chance to make it a 5 peat which was my senior year.

this year 2 games actually. Powell ahead by 13 going into the 4th against lee. lee comes back to tie. we go into ot and loose by 5. the exact same thing happend against estill county. big lead, lazy passes missed free throws and not strong quater closing cost us another loss. it sucked really bad.

I would have to say the biggest that I can remember was last year against Rowan Co. in the Regional Semi's and then three years ago against Rose Hill when they went to state, WE had a chance to win both of those games and let them get away from us.

On feb 20th we played paintsville and were up by 13 with 2 mins left and ended up letting Pville come bak and lost by 2

The most disappointing loss to me for Shelby Valley was 2003 District Championship game to East Ridge...I thought we'd beat them pretty easy but we didn't and I was mad for about a week, well...mad until we won region Wink

Yeah that one was pretty terrible too...It was also at Shelby Valley to make things worse...Allen Central was the worst draw they could have gotten...

In 2004 when Prestonsburg lost to Pike Central in the Region Semi's, and in 2005 when they lost to SV in the region Semi's.

AC v.s. SF in the 2001 regional final game. That was one of the best games I have ever seen, that was one of the biggest heartbreakers for AC in there school history.

SF and Paintsville Semi Finals I believe 2002. Pville hit a last second shot. I still don't think they could have beaten SV that year though.

Well where do i start...Lets start with last year in the region 1st round PC gets beat on a last second shot...In 2004 when we lost to ER after being up by 20+ at the half and lost on a last second shot in the regional championship...2003 i think this one was Valley we was up by 1 with seconds to go and Justin MacCury makes a bone head foul puts a Valley player on the line to shot freethrows nails them both then Barry Sanders misses a finger role...and then the other 2 regional championships in 99 to Pikeville and 94 to Allen Central...

We'vebeenframed, I remember that game also it was at Pike Central. I still believe the game should of been over before that shot because the Paintsville player walked and went out of bounds before the timeout was called and given to them. It's when Jack Slone for South Floyd hit the shot to put us up by 1 I think, and everyone thought it was over. Then the whole thing went down hill but I still believe the refs missed the out of bounds call and everything that would of ended that game.

UKgirl20- Yeah I had all that in my post but took it out. I didn't want to pour fuel on the Pville/SF fire. I too thought he walked before the timeout and they went on to add time!

SF- Yeah the 01/02 Regional Semifinal game at Pike Central against Paintsville when Adam Rice went straight to the goal for a wide open lay-up.

Also in the 99/00 1st round of the regional tourney against Maggoffin Co. It was a 2 point loss I think it was 53-51.......

in districts of the 03-04 season when jc lost to magoffin co. in the first round of districts. We thought we were gonna win districts cuz we were ranked #1 but we lost to the #4 team. It was a lonely bus ride home for all the seniors on the pep bus let me tell ya.
