I like the ranking as well. But it was Drowning Pool, not Rob Zombie that sang Bodies.

How did Glasgow pick up that many votes? NCC should be number one until a team in 2A can knock them off. Saw them play against 4A Holmes and they looked good. They aren't as big as some of the previous years teams but they really got after the o/d lines from Holmes and shut down one of the best backs in nky (Scruggs).

Danville, and Glasgow ranked ahead of DeSales? I can accept Glasgow, even though we ended their season last year, and they could only score 2 points on us, but Danville? Whatever.... I told everyone, we beat St X in a 7 on 7 a few weeks ago, last night we scrimmaged 6A Meade Co. We beat them 36-14, and could have scored more honestly. Meade County isn't a powerhouse I know that, but they did receive votes. We'll find out how good this Colt's team is in week two. We play John Hardin. That will be a big test.

Seriously, we beat st x in 7 on 7 , really WOW!!!! Congrats we should just claim DeSales champs now. Oh, I forgot we almost never win 7 on 7 here in Mayfield and always beat a lot of people in our season. Why would you even be concerned? If the almighty Colts are as good as you think they are, then they will move up. I couldn't even count the number of times we have won state and weren't ranked #1 in preseason polls and some of those times were never ranked #1.
#11
Looks good for now, Hoping to see if Caldwell receivers are as good as advertised this year.

Never said anywhere in my comments that we should be #1. I think NCC as defending champs should be # 1. I wouldn't rank us ahead of Caldwell County either as they beat us last year. My point was Glasgow, and Danville.
#13
Danville issues DANVILLE. How could you have a preseason 2a poll without them in the top 5. They have earned that respect with their history. You also got to consider that 2 years ago Glasgow played for the title, it could be they still have some of them boys.

That is not Rob Zombie. It is Drowning Pool, and if Caldwell County plays like they did last night it will be more like...

LET THE BUNNIES HIT THE FLOOR! :biglmao:

Last night Elijah Sindelar threw for 326 yds. and 6 TDs to 6 different receivers, and the defense held Butler County out of the end zone. I admit that Butler County is not a great opponent, but they are good people, as I am sure each of you and your crowds are too. Caldwell's receivers are just fine.

Be very very quiet, we're hunting wabbits!

Tigers don't hunt rabbits, we tear them to pieces.

Silly rabbit, you don't get no trophies.

Glad to see everyone is so fixated on Somerset.

Hopefully Somerset is just fixated on the Pulaski County Maroons this week.

How many of those freshmen that won state did Butler use? I really think Caldwell is being way underestimated. Somerset thought they were gonna be there last year too. I also think NCC is way overrated this year. New coach and a bunch of new players. Like I said in the end it will be the CC Tigers on top.

Man, I hope they underestimate my Tigers all the way to that big gold trophy. They just don't understand that Dee Cain, a sophomore, caught a screen pass, ran OVER 3 defenders, and then ran 69 yards to the end zone. He is a beast. You could hear the pop of the hits all the way in Somerset. No, silly rabbits, that wasn't thunder you heard last night, that was our receivers and running backs hitting the defenders, then bouncing off hitting another, and going to the end zone. What I wanted to see and didn't, was our kicker kick a field goal. He booted all 6 extra points but did not get a chance to show off his leg.

Not underestimated at all. I interpreted the poll as a tie between Caldwell and NCC with Glasgow being the spoiler for Caldwell getting 2 votes. My point is, until/if NCC is eliminated they are still the team to beat. I wouldn't call NCC's coach "new" since he has been coaching there since 1984. Secondly, most of the seniors on this team played a significant role last year, as well as, a couple juniors. After watching their scrimmage Friday night it looks as though they have a couple Soph's playing at a high level. I know there are no standout's but this team plays well together and it doesn't give up.

You are infatuated with Somerset. It's comical.
#23
Caldwell looked impressive and from a friend who was at the Henderson and Ocath game, Owensboro catholic had some stiff defense.

Better be or it will be a long week until Belfry!!!!
#26
I know from the six players that have been here all day, the ONLY game they have talked about is Pulaski. Sorry Caldwell not worrying about you until December, that is if you make it.
#27
Right now, our players and coaches are fixated on Christian County. That is the game in front of them. I am just on here having a little fun with those guys everywhere east of Princeton. I, honestly, can't see a better team in our class. We have 82 players and A LOT of them play. The Tigers have talent, speed, strength, and depth. Not many 2A schools can say that.
#28
Watch out for Lloyd and Walton they both will be very good.
#29
I think 2A is going to be the most competitive class this year. There's a lot of football to be played. I like DeSales. They are going to be solid. Do they have the horses to win it all? Not sure. A lot of things can happen between now, and playoff time. But as usual, we have a killer schedule, probably the toughest in 2A.
#30
I really don't get where Colt and the rest get that 2a is going to be so competitive. This year was decided last December in Bowling Green. The Caldwell Co Tigers beat the Colts on there on field last year, attempted come back or not. Then the next week in BG they took a very good NCC to the wire. Now this team returns everything and some, including their future div 1 qb. They are going to be head and shoulders, literally and figuratively above any other team in 1a and they are more confident than ever.
