Predict UK's season
#31
UK's success will depend on which Coach Calipari shows up this season - the one who led a team to the title two years ago or the one who seemed to lose interest last season after one player went down with an injury. If Coach Cal turns in the same kind of performance that he did last season, then UK will not win the SEC title. If he puts in the hard work that brought him his first title, then the 'Cats should be in the thick of things come March.

As for Wiltjer, I know that he will probably end up on the west coast, but I would love to see what Brad Stevens could do with him. Wiltjer needs a teaching coach, as opposed to one whose strength is recruiting. Stevens has made a career out of teaching guys like Wiltjer to win ugly and Butler could use Wiltjer's outside touch.

I doubt that you have ever been on Butler's campus or you would not try to make such a silly point. Butler has the smallest enrollment of any team to have played in the title game since the field expanded to 64 teams. Stevens is coaching at a school that has less than half the enrollment of Morehead State.

There is no excuse for the way that UK's season ended last year. The 'Cats had as much talent as Butler has ever had. It was a bad coaching job. Period. Hopefully, Calipari will be able to coach the best recruiting class ever to another title this season but it will take a much better effort than he put forth last season.

On paper? 40-0! in reality probably win around 35 games. Young team with little to no leadership returning. Id say Michgan St. and North Carolina will be a loss because they are early on in the year. Some of you guys are getting overly hyped and forgetting all the other good teams out there. UL returns alot of players this year and will be good. By that point in the season though UK should be rolling on all cylinders, with the game at RUPP this year expect a close game but a W for the cats. Florida will be very good. Outside of Florida though I really dont see anybody even coming close to UK in the SEC. But we are basing all these predictions on HS talent. As we saw this past season HS talent doesnt mean everything. I expect Randle to win alot of awards. I have been impressed by his talent and skill so far. Not only that but his attitude as well. Im a big fan with attitudes. No matter how good you are if you have a poor attitude you wouldnt play on my team. Also I like the lefty coming in for UK this year. Cant remember his name right off but he can stroke the 3 ball. The harrison twins are good. Expect a big season from them. Not so sure about their attitudes though.

WHat does a small enrollment have to do with anything? Did he play 5 walk-on players in the tourney?

Last season was doomed from the get go, no leadership at point, selfish me me ball and your best player tearing his ACL. If you remember correctly we just broke the top 25 when Noel tore his ACL.

Brad Stevens is one of the better Xs and Os guy in the game. There is no denying that, just look at his resume. The guy does wonders with small talent. He probably could make a deep push with that UK team last year, because talent was there but I dont think the coaching was.

Leadership begins at the top and injuries are part of the game. UK had more talent that many of the teams that were in the tournament (the NCAA tournament). They lost to the bottom seed of the NIT.

Butler would love to have the kind of talent every year that Calipari squandered last season. Being a very small city school is a big disadvantage where recruiting is concerned. Stevens actually has to teach his players how to play the game to offset their deficit in athleticism.

BTW, I have attended games in Hinkle Fieldhouse and the fact that Butler made it to back-to-back title games with talent similar to what UK had last season is amazing.

38-2, a strong finish and a final 4 showing, if Cal has a plan for all his talent........?
#39
Kentucky has won it all again this year!!!
#40
39-1 with an SEC and National Championship. They'll slip up somewhere in the middle of the season. Just hope it's not to the Cards.
#41
40-0. May not even be challenged for a full game.
#42
I think Louisville and North Carolina will be our toughest games.

Why North Carolina? They have no one that has shown they can consistently carry the load in scoring against any team, much less against a team that will have no one better at any position. Without P.J. Hairston, we win from start to finish I think.

We have the advantage at PG, SG, SF, PF and C, as well as the bench. Some of those spots will be a huge differential in talent. The only advantage UNC has is being at home. I don't think that will be enough by Dec 14.

I had this as one of our losses earlier this year, but not anymore.
#44
At #11, they are massively overrated as well, lol. I think the Baylor game will actually be a little tougher than UNC.
#45
18-13

38-2

Ill avatar bet you right now it won't be over a 10 point victory.
#48
38-2. With losses to Michigan State (Too early in the season for such a young team) and either @ Florida or a game in the SEC Tourney (We'll get too confident and get put down a notch. Similar to the Vandy loss with the championship team.)
#49
If we lose two games, it wont be to someone you expect.
It will be like the 2012 season where we lose to freaking Vandy and Indiana.

In March I think the starting 5 will look like

1. Harrison
2. Harrison
3. Young
4. Randle- SEC Player of Year

Bench in order of minutes I think they will recieve
WCS
Poythress
Polson
Lee
Willis
Hood
Hawkins

Record: 35-5 National Champs

All statements in bold just show how blind UK fans can be. It is almost impossible to run the table in college now. UK has alot of talent but looks like they have alot of problems as well. Great predictions guys lol

Dont worry little buddy. We still have more wins than anybody.

I see a lot picked a L at UNC. They will not lose to UNC. They aren't even a top 50 team without PJ and what's his name. Florida,, aaah toss up at UF without Walker,, whom may be back by then. But isn't even on campus until at least Jan. I see one more lose,, either Tenn or UF if Walker gets on campus and learns Billy's system. Come sec tourney time,, they will be steam rolling.. 38-2.
