Only question I have is, why do you have Lee County at 16? Is it because of the hire? Because of the talent they lost last year?

I would probably put Lee Co in a similar place. Perhaps ahead of Jenkins and Jackson City but, I would say all three are close to even. Lee Co as far as talent goes, has a very good team but, they have absolutely terrible chemistry and that combined with a new head coach with a career winning percentage of .345 basically spells disaster IMO. I really hope that I am wrong but, it looks to be the worst season record wise since before Coach Wright's tenure.

Trophy stays in the 53rd for a third consecutive year.

I will be surprised if it doesn't stay in the 53rd. Knott will be tough for anyone to beat with everyone they return from last year.

The talent that Rhodes is bringing in at Cordia they will be hard to beat for anyone and could make a run at region.

Hopefully this regional tourney is just as exciting as the rest

Too many transfers not yet picked a school/got enrolled/eligible yet, ask me again 1 day before the season starts. Confusednicker:

Those are my two picks. Kcc being the front runner and chs close behind. Pcc has the kid from wolfe with Beverly an Jjohnson. If they do get Ergas they may be the heavy favorite going into the tournament.

Perry Central looked better than Cordia from what I saw at the AAU tourney. I know rosters do change quite a bit in the 14th though.
#10
Knott is the team to beat.

Tell us all your opinion. No need to PM -Strikeout . Man up. You've bashed this coach since day 1. What is your true feelings?

As of now:
1. Knott County Central
2. Perry County Central
3. Hazard
4. Cordia
5. Breathitt County
6. Letcher Central

Cordia didn't have all their players during that tournament. They actually played some games with only 5 players. The word on the street is CHS has some players coming who hasn't even made it into the state yet.

Breathitt County @ 4? Come on! Get that out of here. They lost everyone expect Noble. Heck, they even lost coach Fugate that will be an set back the Bobcat program IMO. I respect you're opinion but explain why Breathitt over Hazard?
#15
I with Basketball101,KCC is the team to beat again in 14th. The 3-peat will be anything but easy especially trying to do it in the "Pumpkin Palace".
#16
I heard Big Baby Chris Hudson's not leaving Texas and HHS
will not have himZ. Sucks for HHS.

Cordia better have more coming because the team they had at the KBA wasn't too good. Hines is big but that's about it, Justin Johnson is way better.

I have talked to coaches at Hazard and Perry County they both have someone coming. Knott is the top dog right now but everyone knows Knott, Hazard, and Perry could all 3 win the 14th.

They had eight when they lost by about 30. They actually played better with five.
They really aren't "their" players yet if they haven't made it to Kentucky.
I don't know how you rate teams on players who haven't made it to the state yet. From what I saw, it should be Knott, Perry and Hazard, followed by Cordia and Breathitt or Letcher.

I don't know this man at all so I am not bashing him, but his record is at best terrible, his history of coaching at high school level is very weak. When you have to use a corrupt system of good ole boy connections and mistruths put out by the administrations just to try to sell this hire, usually means a weak candidate. Also did my own research about his coaching and did not find any good recommendations. It is not personal, he may the greatest man and coach ever but his history lends one to believe a poor future ahead. Jmo, I wish for the kids sake they were put first for once.

Now you man up, tell us why he is such a good hire, must be pretty close to him to defend so strongly. Since this is the only subject you have ever posted about and then even tried to down Coach Wrights record. So what's your take on this hire, tell us why he was best option for the program. Keep it non personal if you can

The success or failure and the record of the Bobcats will prove whether a good hire or not. No matter what I or think now, Mr. Johnson will be judged on win and losses, as a coach only. Best of luck to the Bobcats

Cordia will be just fine. Come ball season they will be right in the mix. Fritz and Felix was not at the kba.

I'd say Cordia is the top team right now with their JV not far behind as the second best team

who is on there JV team?
#25
Briscoe is the starting jv pg.
#26
Cordia should have the best team in the region. They don't but they should. I could build a top notch program at riverside with the money they have spent on their recruiting. Does anybody know what their recruiting budget is.

Show me where I ranked my teams? Exactly I didn't but I have heard Cordia will have more than what they have shown this summer. My point is it's hard to put Cordia anywhere on a list without knowing what they'll have. They could be anywhere from 1-5 once the season starts. Preseason wise, KCC has won the region the last two years, 4/5 starters returning enough said.
#29
You, in that case, meant anyone. My philosophy is you rank the teams based on players they actually have on the team.
#30
Knott County in #1 right now. Only ranking anyone else needs to worry about at this point.
