Want proof of John Calipari’s unmatched ability to get players into the league? According to Chazz Griffith of ZagsBlog.com, Julius Mays is working out for a few NBA teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Toronto Raptors. Mays told the Zagsblog.com staff that he thinks he’ll definitely be picked up as a free agent as a combo guard coming off the bench.

That would be awesome if this young man gets a shot. I never appreciate him until the end of the season. He is not very talented, but he works extremely hard to get the best of what he has. Good luck to him.

I def think he could be a 7th or 8th man off the bench, a good combo guard that can play both the 1 and 2, is a good shooter and passer, and a TON of heart and leadership qualities, which as you know, is very important in the NBA and for 1st and 2nd year guards. I definitely think we'll see him on an active roster next season.
