IMO Wiggins puts Kansas in the runnings for a title next year... I still think UK will have a better team but Wiggins will b the #1 pick in the 2014 draft!

All these people already giving Wiggins the top pick status for next year, might be right, but I wouldn't underestimate Julius Randle, that guy is a beast and more than held his own whenever he has went head-to-head against Wiggins.

You smoking some good stuff to think that Randal will be your number 1 over all pick next year Wiggins just wanted to be the man and he will there but Randal is going to be the main man.
Belfry0304 Wrote:This shows that Wiggins isn't a follower, he could have easily gone to Kentucky and been part of the "best team ever" and this shows he believes he can win on his own. Something LeBron James has NEVER done or showed that he believes he can do. I think it's a wonderful decision. Basically he was just going somewhere for a year anyways. He could sit out 2013-2014 and be the #1 pick.

I'm not 100% sold on Wiggins. Yes he's super athletic but can he shoot? He may flop like a fish in college. Nothing like highschool basketball. Of course he will go to the NBA but I wanna see him play college ball first.

Before Wiggins signed, Kentucky had the top ranked recruiting class. After Wiggins signed with Kansas, Kentucky had the top ranked recruiting class.

Everyone's "sources" have entertained me greatly throughout the recruitment of Andrew Wiggins.

One game at a time folks. Lot of folks felt the same way about last years class and we saw how that turned out. Be mindful and enjoy the ride vs. anticipating and expecting the end before the season even begins.

This just shows exactly how great UK's recruiting class is and how much better their incoming freshman class is than everyone else's. I mean Kansas had the #2 ranked class behind UK before Wiggins committed and now after the #1 ranked recruit in the nation commits to the #2 recruiting class they are still ranked #2 in the country. Heck I don't know if Kansas class would jump UK's if Jabari Parker (#2 recruit in the nation) decommitted from Duke and went to Kansas. I still think UK's class would be better than the Jayhawks.
05-14-2013, 11:47 PM
According to ESPN's rankings, UK has the # 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 25, and two unranked recruits (Derek Willis) and (Dominique Hawkins) coming in next year. Not counting Willis and Hawkins, the average ranking of UK's recruits is 9.5. Kansas has the #1, 6, 14, 46, and 47 ranked recruits. That comes out to an average of 22.8. Still not even close. If they could add Jabari Parker who is the number 2 ranked recruit in the class the would have an average ranking of 19.3. That still wouldn't even be close to what UK currently has. You could even throw in Aaron Gordon who is ranked #4 and still wouldn't have UK's class. If him and Parker went to Kansas along with their current class they would have an average of 17.1. That just speaks to how great UK's incoming class really is. This is just for fun but if Wiggins had chose the Cats, their average ranking for recruits would be 8.2.

Kentucky is still going to win the national championship without wiggins. I hope he has fun watching Kentucky bring home national championship number nine back to Lexington not to Kansas.

Good for Wiggins, good for KU.
But some of the backlash from fans directed to Andrew Wiggins is completely uncalled for and quite frankly....pathetic.

Yes, Michael Jordan could not win until he top five in the NBA during that decade - Scottie Pippin! Yes, Magic proved he could win with HOF James Worthy and Kareem - but he also proved he could not win without them!
MJ, Magic, Bird and Kobe - NEVER EVER - took a team so pathetic as the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA finals! But now I see that Lebron had to do what every other team that has EVER won an NBA title has done - WIN WITH MULTIPLE SUPERSTARS ON THE ROSTER!

That worst team in the NBA is my team and if you followed that team at all you, you'd know Baby Bron Bron is weak sauce. LeBron couldn't win a title on his own (and it took Boobie Gibson entering another dimension for a few games to get him to the title game) the difference is LeBron crumbled under the pressure and joined an all-star caliber team instead of being the man and waiting for 1) the Cavs to build around him 2) the Cavs to do the best with what they had. Magic, Kobe, Bird, MJ... what do they have in common? They stayed with one team. I know you have a man crush on LeBron, it's cute and all, but look at it from every other persons point of view. The man is a follower, if you want proof of that ask anyone who has been around him alone, around his entourage, and around him & Jay-Z once. Three different LeBrons. He's weak, he's a follower, not a leader. He may be the guy in Miami now, because he's grown up an absolute ton since going down there, but he surely didn't go down there to be the guy. He grew into it. Wiggins is going to a school where he knows he has to be the man and do it himself, bold decision. We'll see who is better between him and Randle... but I think Aaron Gordon is the best player so I guess we'll see.

To be honest I think UK is better off without wiggins. After this past year we learned that there was too many what about me players on the team. IMO he would have been just like them bring down all the talent around him, cause all they cares about was themselves and BBN had enough of that last year.
05-15-2013, 03:14 PM
I could not agree more. All hopes were in securing Shabazz last year. What a disappointment he turned out to be!

Lebron is the man!

Aaron Gordon can dunk. Other than that he couldn't hold Wiggins or Randle's or Parker's jock.
05-15-2013, 09:43 PM
Did someone say can wiggins shoot? That's all the scouts talk about is how he is so hard to defend cause if you say off him he shoots over you and if you come up on him he drives by you. He's being labeled the best prospect since Lebron. But even having watched him knock down a couple threes in person ill go ahead and say he can shoot. Also he is a very unselfish basketball player never called for the ball operated within the offense and when the right basketball play was finding the open teammate he did just that. Andrew wiggins just made this a 3 team race for the title with UK,Loserville,And Kansas. That's how good this kid is.

If it took you two minutes to read that, you're an idiot. Judging by the fact you have a cocaine addicted thug as your avatar here, that pretty much reinforces that fact.

Honestly, man, I think you'd suck LeBron's dong if he pulled it out in front of you. I can't stand coming on this portion of the website because of you anyways. You could very well be the most aggravating member of this board. It's bad enough I can't go into a thread during football season without 35 posts of one picture each that you've thrown up to increase your post count, but I have to steer clear of the NBA forum to avoid your LeBron suckfest. Jesus.

Personally, I respect the lods decision. He made the best choice for him. He can shine like a star at Kansas. I do get a good laugh at reading people post before and after his decision. Before his choice he was considered being the next Lebron James and
No doubt about it and was going #1 overall. After he shocked you by not going to UK he was hyped to much and Randle is gonna be #1 overall pick. Pretty funny. And its not just on this forum its everywhere. Mt fbook and twitter is nothing but hate on the kid. I dont understand that either. Respect the kids decision and go on.

I called him a drama queen long before he committed. That doesn't change his skill level. Is he the next Lebron? I don't think so because he is not the freak athletically that Lebron was or is. Not nearly as strong. I would say he is more like the next Grant Hill.

At least it will make college basketball a little more interesting next year. If he would have went to Kentucky we all would have known without a doubt who was 2014 national champions. Now, this allows more hype to be brought to the game once Kentucky beats Kansas to win it all. I think that Wiggins is ontop of the world right now with nowhere to go but down. IMO the media has built this kid up way more than he's worth. In the games I seen him play he showed flashes of greatness but buy no means a dominate game changer like Lebron. Good luck to the young man and I hope it works out for him.

If you all will remember Lebron wasnt nowhere as big in high school as he is now.
He became a man. He was a little guy when he first signed with Cleveland.
