And guess what, he has an all-star basketball player for a son. Guess they are just trying to keep up with Cordia on the recruiting trail. The 14th is getting just ridiculous.

Any more insight on this kid and what position does he play? Knott needs another point guard or true center. They are already loaded and if the kid is an all star, then this might be Knott's year again in the 14th.

Hope hes not from another country. Kcc kids might chant usa as he walks the halls to show their nationalism. Lmao had to

What's the word? One would assume that news like this would have surfaced already with a name of the player or some kind of information.

If this is true (I have heard nothing about it) it won't happen until July 1st.

Being scared of Knott County is like being affrad of Riverside, Knott is scared of Cordia thats there issue as in past news reports

Do any of these teams have hometown players. Other than the bench riders.

Knott and Cordia will be powerhouses next year if all goes well. I'm talking state title good. But a lot can happen between now and Oct.15. And in this region you never know.

I doubt that. Hard to be scared of another team from the 14th when you have two future division 1 players on your team. Anyways, i'm sure there will be an opening for a highway superintendent or something like that come open in Perry County soon enough, have to keep up with the Jones', I guess.

Idk all about kcc and their new player, but for chs if you have 6'8, 6'9, and 6'9 at your 3,4, and 5 you definitely got the size to win a state title.

Until you play teams outside the region besides Allen,Cent or Belfry or small schools there not a team in the 14th that will win the sweet sixteen. Cordia has a better chance of playing and winning than any of the rest because of the size and schedule in the region by playing better competition outside the region Lexington Catholic ECT. Perry playes the best schedule but probably will not win the region. So if you think you have a shot at winning the sweet sixteen play Ballard,Scott County,Trinity,Just to name a few not teams you beat 30

I made it clear if all goes well then both teams could possibly win a state title. The Hines kid is a freak athlete and I was lucky enough to actually see him goof around on the court for awhile. And I know that Fritz Lucin has yet to be seen but I can assure you he can fly with the best of them. Tagaloa, Frimpong, Chisolm, and Combs is pretty good guard play for Cordia. Like I said before "If all goes well" look for them to compete for state. And as for Knott I honestly feel their a couple good players away for competing for one due to experience in the tournament and team chemistry. But all things going on at the moment must fall through.

Knott won a Lexington tourney in 2012 and beat Henry Clay to do so. Cordia is playing in the Lexington tourney this yr so I dont understand your point. Knott also began the season this past yr in the Farm Bureau classic at the expo and beat a New York team that won their state championship this yr.

About that Henry Clay team. Lost final three games. Didn't even get out of DISTRICT (let alone region):

And about that New York team (New Rochelle). Did NOT win state. Got beat in the Class 2-A Public state final, scoring a whopping 39 points. New Rochelle also got beat by Covington Holmes.

New Rochelle sucks, they made it to the state finals and didnt win...
ihigh tourney was so watered down when that mountain team won it...
Went to the semi's of the republic bank tourney and lost to eventual champs HC on a last second shot. I know, HC had an off night...
Made it to the quarters finals of the state tourney the past two years. Yes I know, easy first round games.
Mountain teams...what a joke...

Not saying that mountain teams suck. Shelby Valley a few years ago (and if you want to count Rowan) were impressive. Knott and Perry and Johnson the past few years, too. Not sure if you count Estill, but that team a few years ago was solid.
But let's not act like New Rochelle was all that. Got beat by two Ky teams -- neither of which made it to a state final in a far smaller state -- and New Rochelle didn't win state (like some people keep claiming, which is EASY to verify).
And Henry Clay? They're athletic and all, but LexCath and Scott County have been the kings of that area for years.
That would be like hanging your hat on a win against Male in basketball (if we switched from Lexington to Louisville). Male has a proud history and has had some good teams, but when's the last time they were killing it in Rupp? Consistently, too?
Or a football team bragging about beating Eastern or Ballard (when X and T and Central own the Ville).
If Henry Clay is the claim to fame ... then you're not as famous as you thought.
