First off.... I arrived at CWS around 4:30 or so, and the parking lots looked like we were playing Loserville. And truth be told, there was a bigger tailgating crowd yesterday than I saw all of last season.
Next was the large amount of people that was there for the CatWalk. The blowup helmet going in to the stadium and large football player in front of the Nutter was out in full force. The Air Raid siren was great to hear!
Several commits and recruits were there, cause I was right beside the blowup helmet and spoke with several of them.... and they all seemed to be "Star Struck" with the way the BBN responded to just a scrimmage game.
When the team came walking up, reminded me of being at a live taping of Monday Night Raw back in the late 90's..... fans were straight up marking out trying to get High 5's from players and coaches (And yes, Yours truly did get a hand shake from Mr. Stoops). He seems like a great guy, cause he was talking to fans as he walked up and if any kids wanted a picture or a High 5, he was more than happy to oblige.
The warm-ups even felt different. I noticed alot more overall team speed and size on both sides of the ball. The fans began pouring into the stadium around 6:45-6:50. And let me tell you, it was crazy to see 50,000+ members of the BBN show up for a spring game. And UK did a great job putting this all together.... The Cheerleaders, Dance Cats, the P.A. guy Carl Nathe was on the mic, heck, even the Band was even there. The team entered the stadium just like they would for a true game, Fireworks, 'Hells Bells' entrance music..... "It's Football Time In The Bluegrass!!!!"

It was live action at Commonwealth last night. There was a lot of energy in the place. I hope it helps attract some of the recruits who were there.

I got there around 2pm. Tailgated and spoke with many people about the new excitement around the program. Ventured over to the Cat walk and it was packed. Stadium had a football attitude in April. Hope it carries over to the fall season. Whitlow will be the starter at QB. Cunningham is a big target at WR. Clemons looked like his old self. Lowery was strong at the safety. A positive day on a beautiful day.

I went to the Baseball game first, but we got there in time for the gates to open and got really good seats in the upper section. It was really awesome to see that many people there! Whitlow really stood out.. he was a beast.
I loved it when they started the wave.. at a spring game. lol. And I agree, the entrance was awesome! Stoops and UK did an awesome job with this. With 50,000+ at a spring game, I wouldn't doubt it if we sold out the first home game.

Ill post what I posted in the other thread.
It seemed like Whitlow was by and far the best qb we are stacked at the running back position. The receivers still suck but conversely the defensive secondary which was considered a huge weakness actually held its own pretty well. The atmosphere for this game was unreal 50,000 people the full band intro music and the best part is the air raid siren is back. This felt like a actual game not the blue white scrimmage

The baseball game was a heartbreaker.

I arrived at Commonwealth around 2:00 p.m. and there were already quite a few tailgaters already there. The parking lot really started filling up around 4:00 or 4:30. Great atmosphere outside the stadium. Had a great time tailgating and talking to other fans. It was great to see all of the recruits there as well as the basketball team supporting the football team. There were several former UK football players there and that was great to see.
As others have said, Jalen Whitlow stood out as being the best QB on the team. Rashad Cunningham looked great at WR. Although, I think the most impressive player, IMO, was Za'Darius Smith! He was an absolute beast and is a physical specimen. He got into the backfield countless time and as I heard someone else say, it's a good thing that the QBs weren't allowed to get hit because they would have gotten hurt.
All in all, it was a great atmosphere and a great day. An unbelievable amount of excitement around the program and it was great to experience it! Can't wait for the season to start!
