I saw the YOU Tube video of Kentucky vs Yugoslavia in 1986. I remember that game so well, it was my first trip to Rupp. My uncle took me to this game to watch Rex Chapman. I will never forget the tall, wild looking white dude that was just smoking the nets for Yugoslavia. I was amazed that someone that tall could play guard. Some years later I found out that it was the late great Drazen Petrovic. To this day Petrovic is the best player I ever saw play in person. Lets hear some stories about your first trip to Rupp. Doesn't matter if it was High school basketball, lets hear your story.

I've never seen a game inside of Rupp Arena.
However, I have seen a WWE pay per view inside once.

My first game at Rupp was a blowout but I was still in awe of being there. It was UK vs. Kentucky State during the 2002-2003 season if I am not wrong. I didn't have tickets but drove down there, talked to an usher and told him it was me and my families first time there and he got us lower arena seats about six rows from the basket for the actual ticket price! It was far from UK vs. UNC or UL but still great to see players like Prince and Bogans in person and having awesome seats was just great. To that kind man that helped us out that day, thanks sir, we did and still do appreciate it.

1979 Sweet Sixteen. Lafayette was loaded and lead by Dirk Minnifield. I had great seats. 4 rows off the floor at center court.

Coach Cal's first year at UK vs. Long Beach State. The game was very close until the end when John Wall took over. But it was crazy!!

1982 Laurel County beats North Hardin 53-51 on Paul Andrews last second half court shot to win the sweet sixteen championship. One of the best high school games I've ever seen and IMO the best ever at the sweet sixteen.

First trip was Knott Centrals three year state run in 91,92 n 93, think one of those was in Louisville to, used to rotate from Louisville to Lexington yearly. First UK game was 94/95 year, Eric Dampier killed us at Rupp, we lost by 10.
