Ryan Johnson may have fouled out, but he scored just enough points for SF to pull out a win.

If everyone from Paintsville keeps talking about them being young, when are they ever going to get it in there head that they have started oh what would a good guess be.... 35 varsity games over the last two years... that seems like ALOT of experience to me....

Sounds like a good coaching move to me, coming out of the zone and shutting down the hot hands.

True, they gave South Floyd too many chances to stay in the game, they should have been up by at least 4-5 points instead of only 1.

I can assure you that Henry Webb is far from an idiot. Also with 4 straight district titles, 1 "15th region All A" title, 1 "15th region" title, and a record of 156 wins and 62 losses in 6 years, I'd say he was one of the better coaches in the region.

We'll never know if Ryan would have taken the last shot but I don't think he would have because like you said he couldn't hit the shot, so if you noticed the shot at halftime went to Ethan just like the shot at the end. Putting the ball in the hands of the players who are hitting....another good move by Coach Hall.

Having a player who was hot all night, scoring at will, unable to be guarded and not putting the ball in his hands with the game on the line, that's not one of the better coaching moves...J.D. should have had 32 points. Not taking anything away from BMR, he's a great coach and we all know it, but on this night the vote goes to.....THE DOG!!!....SORRY

First of all Henry Webb is the best thing that ever happened to SF basketball, the second best thing is Barry Hall. Paintsville flat out CHOKED........Bill Mike CHOKED. Just because their mommies and daddies have a lot of money and can send them to private school with gas in their SUV's doesn't make them basketball royalty in the 15th. SF deserved that win because they fought harder and wanted it more. So my advice to those who claim Paintsville should blame their sophs, and say that Barry Hall is stupid for playing zone, should take a second and think.......THEY ARE NOT SUPERIOR TO A LOT OF TEAMS IN THE 15TH.......NOBODY IS SCARED OF THEM.......TODD TACKETT AND J.R. CAN'T PLAY ANYMORE...EVEN THOUGH HE WAS ON THE BENCH HE STILL GOT A DOSE....NO EXCUSES THEY CHOKED AND GOT BEAT....WAAAAA WAAAA WAAAA! SF DIDN'T BACK DOWN BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT INTIMIDATED LIKE AC WAS. BY THE WAY BARRY HALL IS THE SECOND COACH RIGHT BEHIND BILL MIKE TO REPEAT AS 15TH REGION ALL A CHAMPS....They'll be crying all the way through apple days in Paintsville......FACE IT THEY GOT OUT PLAYED, OUT HUSTLED AND OUT COACHED...NO EXCUSES FOR PAINTSVILLE PLEASE...

i didnt know mother cleo had BGR name ...gah what predictions thats amazing how u know ryan johnson wouldve take that last shot and wait if bill mike was smart and since JD was unstoppable why didnt he take the last shot instead of lettin landon slone .....maybe landon is like the ryan on sf and supposively always takes the last shot and plus ryan is one of the best players i have witnessed under pressure ....so u have no idea what ur talkin about ...and calling webb a idiot....jesus christ u must be smokin sum hard stuff man...back to back to back to back district titles....1 All A win...1 Regional championship in 6 years...he accomplished more in 6 yrs then u ever will in baskteball or life probably....dont be jealous...be happy u all got to play with the should be #1 team in region.....ooo yea one more thing Confused

Strikeoutking, I started this thread and yes I believe doggy outcoached the legend on that given night. He had a great game plan to contain Slone, but JD was a surprise to many. But I must disagree with your statement about SF being #1 in the region, unless of course you referring to Single A only. There are some major teams that have serious ability, Johnson Central, Prestonsburg, Belfry, Lawrence Co., Pike County Central and others. Good luck SF in the All A. Thanks for that great entertaining game at AC on Sat. night.

Well...although I think this is a stupid thread that has gone on for far too long, I thought both coaches made mistakes, and yet were able to coach well enough to have their teams in position to win.
SF won because Ethan, put them on his shoulders and refused to go down without a fight!!!
I also thought that with 6.8 seconds to go, I would have put the ball in Bundy's hands to drive and dish, or just take the layup that was being offered. Instead, he was on the bench, when I thought they needed as many offensive players as they could get on the floor.
I am not dissing the coaches decision at all, but I would venture a guess that Bundy might make some bonehead moves at times, but he is the best ball handler, passer, and one of the highest shooting percentages on the team.
