As of 11:38 am......
Willie Cauley-Stein and Kyle Wlitjer are returning to UK for the 2013-2014 basketball season.
Archie Goodwin will enter to NBA draft; they are reporting he has not hired an agent. He has until April 16th to change his mind about entering the draft.

What I was saying last week. Some said there was no way Archie and Ryan would leave. Look for Alex to be the next to go pro.

What's the reasoning behind this? From what you've heard?

^ My contact told me that Alex is saying he is coming back, but his parents have hired someone (Not an Agent) to identify where he could potentially go in the draft and what would be a possible contract for that spot in the draft. If Alex goes, I honestly believe it won't be his choice.

DraftExpress: No news on Alex Poythress. I heard he's still collecting information but leaning towards entering the draft. Nothing official yet.

^ Alex's family is supposedly well off financially. I'm not sure why Alex nor his family want him to go straight to the D-League. How is him returning not absolutely clearly the best choice?

I agree he needs to come back. Just this years draft is very weak. I've been hearing weeks he's leaning toward the draft.

Sure hope he changes his mind Alex could use another year of college ball and develop and and draft stock would be much higher than it is now IMO. But as everyone knows $$$$ talks to these kids and nothing else matters.

I could see Archie saying tomorrow morning "April Fools BBN you all gotta put up with me again, Im staying! "

^
That would be the harshest April fools joke ever.

Goodwin will go on and be a solid NBA player in a couple of years.

Archie is making a good decision for himself. Why stay and play backup minutes and take a risk of getting injured in a much better draft class. It makes sense for him. Wish him will.
And yellowjacket. Archie Goodwin was the only reason we won any games after noel went down. He actually tried.

All players say that. In reality, about 40% actually do come back.

Yes, this season was a disaster- recruiters, coaches and players all failed miserably. Will get a new start this year.

Good Luck To Archie Goodwin In The D-League!!!!!!

Goodwin's game is well suited for the Pro's. He is a slasher, very good ball handler, and can create his own shot. These guys make it in the League! There should be no love lost for this kid. It's not his fault that he was REQUIRED to play college basketball!
04-02-2013, 09:20 AM
Well, I know one thing. Since there is a disagreement on Alex's future from the "contacts", we'll see who's contact is credible.

I didn't say anyone knew. I'm just saying two contacts are saying different things and we'll see which one we can listen to.

IM hearing today that Alex is thinking about going to alaska to become a dog sled champion. But isn't for sure if he will do that or go tot he nba. Only time will tell.
