Does Ken-Jah Bosley's 3 pointer with 2.2 seconds left to win the championship rank over Paul Andrews' 50 foot miracle shot for the win in 1982?
Personally I think so. Because MC was down 2 and would have lost if not for the game winning shot. Andrews' shot came with 1 second to go in a tied game.
Comments please.

As was I, I believe at the time players were allowed to call TO's, coaches were not. Laurel Co.'s coach was screaming at Paul Andrews to call a TO. He kept going and swished a 60 footer, amazing!

Both were amazing shots, but to win a state championship game on a 50-60 ft shot is something you may never see in 50 more years. Bosely's shot was great, but you see three point shots at the buzzer to win pretty often.

How would Rick Jones 35 foot 3 to beat Lex Cath when they were ranked #2 in USA and considered unbeatable rank with those shots? That shot was in the semis instead of the finals. Was the 98 Lex Cath team the highest nationally ranked team to ever play in the Sweet 16?

I do not remember them being #2, but they could have been. I believe Scott Co. was ranked in the top15 the following year with Jones, Hundley, and Hamilton. All three signed with D1 schools. I would go with Andrews on the shot.

I thought Male had a team in the early 2000s that was #1 in the nation for awhile, but i know they were nationally ranked. i want to say o'bannon and bush were on that team

Male was nationally ranked but I don't think they were in the top 5. Actually Male and Ballard were both ranked in the top 20 in USA Today. Kentucky had a good run during that time frame. Lex Cath was ranked #2 or #3 in 98, Scott County was ranked #6 in 99. Male and Ballard were ranked high nationally in 2001. The interesting thing is that none of these teams won the state championship. In 2007, Scott County defeated #1 ranked Huntington with OJ Mayo and Patrick Patterson. That 2007 SC team was the only team to go undefeated in the state in the last 40 or 50 years.

In 1998 Lex Cath was ranked #3 most of the year after upsetting #1 Oak Hill Academy. I think they topped out at #2 just before the Sweet 16. After Scott County beat Lex Cath in the Sweet 16 SC was ranked #13 in the final USA Today pole.
In 1999 Scott County was ranked #6 nationally in USA Today. Scott County won the City of Palms that year and beat Joe Jackson led Little Rock Central. 98-2001 was a great time to be a KY high school basketball fan.
