Kentucky 61 - Florida 57
#1
Final

This win puts UK in the tourney
#2
Doom and gloom.
#3
Most exciting game from UK in a while.
#4
I cannot believe this!!!

I think somebody must've paid off Florida! Seriously, could you ever imagine that Florida would go nearly 8 minutes in the second half without scoring???
#5
Wish we still had noel.
#6
I've gotta do it...

Cauley-Stein is just playing great right now..
Without him in there we will struggle..
If we do make the tourney and he gets in foul trouble, could be a quick exit.

Cannot win without the big man.
#8
If Kentucky can get this kind of play each game, they'll be OK. But who knows which team will show up for the next game. Let's hope this has pushed them up to a better level of play. Just so much potential with this team.
#9
And God said let there be light. And there was light.

Great win for UK.
#11
WCS, and Goodwin played great tonight Mays was on fire from deep we just played a great game. They knew this was what it would take to get in the tourney and they got it done.
#12
Boom.
#13
RIUTG and his sources will not like this.
#14
Great win for the cats. Sad for all the so called UK fans that had given up on this team. You missed a really nice win. But ya always got next year!
#15
Oh yeah, RIUTG looks like your crystal ball has fallen and shattered. Cats finish 3-2 and NCAA tournament hopes still alive. Ya didn't nail it.
#16
i told all my cats fans before the game, they win by 3 because they HAD to win if they want to make it to big dance...way to go Cats
#17
Not to take anything away from the win....it was a good one and ideally it gets the Cats in the big dance.

My son in two words summed up this season so far after UK relinquished an 8 point lead:

"KENTUCKY'S LAZY"

They found some spark and were able to knock off Florida when they weren't lazy in the last 5 mins. Way to not give up and hush the critics momentarily, me included, and by the way....don't be lazy!

8 or 9 Seed
#19
According to Joe Lunardi (sp?), the victory moved UK back into the NCAA tournament as one of the last 4 in.

How about the move by CAL to put WCS back in the game after that 8 point lead diminished?

Interesting to see what his view is now that Alabama beat Georgia & Tennessee beat Missouri. I still stand firm in thinking only 3 SEC schools make it. Florida's a lock. With Missouri's loss at Tennessee, UK & Tennessee could make the tournament. It could be any two of Missouri, UK, Tennessee, or Alabama. I still say just 3 make it from the SEC. Makes the SEC tournament more important & interesting. Somebody's got to stand out in Nashville next week.

They lose if WCS doesn't return then. He had no other choice but to put him back in.

To be honest, I didnt even watch the game today
As ive stated several times, Im waiting for next year.
UF obviously overlooked UK today because common sense tells you Florida is the best team. I wasnt the only one thinking big loss today.
UF has had some bad losses this year against conference opponents, and it shows there weakness.

I wouldnt get my hopes up yet, this UK team did just lose to UGA, and lets not forget that when its time to start the tourney, a loss in the first game could punch them right back out.
AND, if they do make it, we will go from there. Im a UK fan, so your not making me mad, im thrilled we won today, but this was pure emotion carrying this team today, come tourney time, its going to take a lot of focus and more importantly hustle, something weve lacked all year. Hopefully this one game win streak continues, but i wouldnt count on it.

Im man enough to admit when im wrong, and it was a good win today by the cats.
Whats the SEC tounrey going to look like now? I assume this locked up the two seed for UK didnt it?

There was a few times Cauley coulda been called for a foul but the ref's let em' play.
thank God...

Or Cal's wallet..

This one meant a lot more to Ky than it did the gators. Haven't seen a full bracket yet. Cal said 2 or 3 on postgame. At this time Cauley-Stein has to be the most valuable player to his team in the NCAA. They can't stop anybody with him out of the lineup. Played great today with 4 fouls. Still work to be done.

We could win the tourney, seeing tn again and beating them would be the best thing that could happen.
#28
If UK does go on a little run, and wins a few game in the tourney, Im gonna be sad to think of what might have been had Noel still been playing, but when you think about it, our play wasnt all that good before Noel went down, WCS kind of fills that void, but with only one reliable big man, if he fouls out, your in big trouble.

Have to take the Anthony Davis approach.

Maybe then we can get you to watch the games again. B-A-N-D-W-A-G-O-N Confusednicker:
