Its hard to watch. Players just never bought into team ball.

Like I said on FB, UK must beat Florida or win the SEC.

NIT.
That one hurt.

I never would have thought early on Noel would have meant so much to this team. He was their heart on the court. Just not the same team without him in there.

I didn't see any NBA ready players on the floor tonight. Even if the scouts are looking for potential, it's at least two to three years away. IMO. No NCAA tournament this year. They'd have to beat Florida by 50, and that's not going to happen. The only chance is win the SEC tournament, and that's not going to happen either. IMO.

This team looks like one that had sanctions put on them instead of McDonalds All-Americans. Pitiful.

I agree.
I have thrown in the towel. This team threw in the towel Saturday. Guess I was a little late to give up.

That was the nail in the coffin. Last nights squad was worse than BCG's last team! Flat out ugly and uninspired basketball from the top down! I saw looks on the faces of players who hated to even be there last night.

Glad you all finally agree with me little buddies.
Ive been telling you this for two months!
I told you they'd go 2-3 in there last 5!
everyone though after they started 2-0 that i was completely wrong, but i nailed it!
This team is garbage. Like i said, wait for next year and hope wiggins signs.
In the meantime lets hope Stoops is the exact opposite of Joke.

Once your done listening to taps and have let the hoops ship sail into whatever dark corner necessary there's no need to wait until football season to have something to get excited about Wildcat wise.
UK baseball is kicking butt taking names. Their currently 11-1 and #7 in the country and I'm sure they would welcome your support...GO CATS!

This team is not "garbage." They are playing exactly like a reasonable person would expect a team loaded with young talent, which lost every key player from last season, to play. Take Goodwin, Noel, Poythress, or Cauley-Stein and insert them into a team with some good veteran (not a few old transfers) players, and they would be playing at a higher level and drawing rave reviews.
This is a rebuilding season and without the injury to Noel, this would probably have been a decent team, but not a contender for the national title. Freshmen get down on themselves and without some leadership that normally comes from guys who have earned their keep in the program, this is the way that seasons often end.
I prefer to look on the bright side. The lack of junior and senior leadership on this UK squad has highlighted the areas of weaknesses in this group of freshmen. Hopefully, at least a couple of them will decide to stay in the program and fight for a starting position next season. I think that it is a mistake to assume that five freshmen will start next season and UK will waltz to another title.
If Wiltjer, Harrow, Poythress, and Goodwin (or Cauley-Stein) return, then next season could be a great one. If this crop of freshmen believes the hype about next season's incoming freshmen and decides to take their inexperience to the next level to compete, then next season may not be that much different than this one has been. Great teams need some year-to-year continuity and that is what has been missing in this year's team.

When your done dislocating your shoulder trying to pat yourself on the back come to the realization that if they had won last night they would have been a lock to get in. They aren't garbage. They are a bunch of young kids, who lost their best player, that don't play consistently together.
At least we get another home game in the NIT.

I am disappointed to say the least...
Even with the injury to Noel we still should be going to the tourney this year and every year, no excuses...for what Cal is being paid and the types of recruits he brings in each year, the NIT should never happen.

^ Dance with the devil and you are going to get burned now and then. When you bring in a bunch of untested freshman every year you never know what you will get.

I can't see any or them staying another year (I would love for some of them to stay though). There would be no benefit for them to stay; going from starters to a bench player would not help them in the NBA draft. If there is any interest from NBA teams this year,I would say these guys are gone. Cauley-Stein is the only one I think might stay and benefit from another year or two.

After the JC vs. Ballard game at the Sweet 16, I went to Logan's roadhouse to watch the 2nd half of UK....
And it was such an odd feeling, all the TV's were on the game.... everybody there was wearing UK Blue. But nobody was interested in the game.

Wcs is projected in the top 15. I doubt he stays. On a side note. Poythress is no longer in the draft board.

I stopped reading right there.
This team IS garbage. They have no desire and no heart. They could be good if they wanted to but they have no desire to. They could care less if they win or lose and these guys are worried about something else.
When you have players like we do on the floor the only chance they have is hustle, and this team doesnt do that!

I've been telling you since early January this team wasnt going to do anything special and I had to hear how I was the worst fan ever. I call em like i seem em and i nailed this one, just as i tried to tell you guys Joker sucked and was on the way out and last years team wouldnt win more than 3 games.
Save yourself a lot of time and heartache and take the blue goggles off. Ive been waiting for next year since i watched this team play Maryland. I couldnt be more excited about next years team.
Simple facts are Cal didnt get all the player he wanted and he had nobody left. Anyone could see this season was a recipe for disaster. Even Cal more or less this is his worst team at this point in the season.
Personally, I hope Goodwin, Poythress and even Wiltjer decides to go pro.
Just mark this one as done, and lets HOPE Stoops gives us something to cheer about in the fall.
And at 6'1 you still got a little ways to go nicker:

Ill take that style of play every day.
We just won a national championship last year. Thats how im different than crazy UK fans, im still satisfied with number 8, most schools have never won one. Take a break and enjoy watching the underdogs beat all the "good" teams in the tourney this year. Because, next year, UK 40-0.
