What are our chances of making the tourney now?

I dont think the problem is Arkansas. Or the officiating. Or the fans. I think the problem is that your Cats are pillow soft, play lazy, unemotional, careless, dont hit free throws, and uninspired. My point has been made several times this year (Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Baylor, Notre Dame and now, Arkansas)..the gameplan is simple for your opposition; Get in UK's faces and they'll quit.

Zero and none.

UK's guard play was just aweful today. They had so many problems with the press and it took the whole team out of its game. RH was bad, really bad today, he simply is not the team leader at the PG spot that Cal has had in the past. Wiltjer was a no show again today. Mays has a bad shooting day too. Back to the drawing board for this team. I remember back in the 80's when Coach Hall had Sam Bowie he would use Bowie to beat any press by lobbing the ball up to him and Bowie would keep the ball High and hit the cutters. Not sure WCS is a good enough passer and he likes to bring the ball down low. OLD school Basketball was good smart Basketball! Post men were thaught not to bring the ball down.

This group of freshman are no where good as advertised. Hope next years crop is better. The weeds killed this one.

You better watch it.
The BGR CAT police will drill you for that one.
#15
This team is so lazy, Cal should give half his salary back to UK for recruiting this crap.

Today the Cats were faced with TOUGH in your face defense and toughness all around and folded like a little house cat. Guards forgot that we were wearing blue and gave the ball away all night. Jared Polson was the only guy who actually looked like a decent ball handler. Normally when the Cats are faced with adversity, they take it for a little bit but then grow a pair and figure out how to beat a team. But today, we just laid down! Awful to watch!
If you need any assistance or want to report a problem feel free to PM me and we will get it taken care of!  Thank you for choosing to be apart of the BGR community!

I had a bad feeling before the game that this would happen...Arkansas's pressure was too much.

Refs called a pretty loose game, and those are the kind of games that UK struggles with...they aren't a physical team.
#18
This game went down just as pretty much everyone in the sec thought it would. The razorbacks are just tough at home. And UK just couldn't do anything with that pressure defense that they faced all day long. But what hurt move than anything was letting them get 20 some more shots than UK did you can't win giving up that many more chances to score. Just a bad day for the big blue nation!!

It's Doug Shows fault!!!!!!!!!! He reffed the game yesterday.

All seriousness, Arkansas out rebounded UK 43-26. Arkansas had 19 offensive rebounds. UK had 18 turnovers and 5 assists. With those numbers/effort they would have trouble beating a good high school team.

Maybe just maybe. Arkansas was the better team today. How about instead of exlplaining how UK lost we talk about how Arkansas won.
#21
Arkansas won because this is just not a very good UK team. Noel masked a lot of Kentucky's weaknesses and without him, they are going nowhere fast.

Didn't Arkansas do this to Florida too?

Yep, and they did it to Missouri and Oklahoma too..As nice as these wins are, they have been blown out by some less than stellar teams too (Texas A&M, Vandy, etc)..If this Hogs team could shoot at all, they'd be a shoo-in for the tournament. However, they are better this year than they were last year, and I think Mike Anderson has them heading into the right direction.

I agree. I think in 2-3 years Arkansas will be one of the top teams in the nation.

Yes the hogs whip everyone in fayetville because the cats are lazy.

i was at the game and this is what i saw,UK's guard play was just aweful today. They had so many problems with the press and it took the whole team out of its game. RH was bad, really bad today, Wiltjer was a no show again today. Mays had a bad shooting day too. and Alex couldnt get going because of foul trouble, i thought we had a chance at halftime, but right after half, the Hogs turned up there pressure and the guards except for jarred couldnt handle it...i will say a BIG THANKS to COACH CAL,WILLIE STEIN,KYLE WILTJER,for the pics i got with them after the game as they came out of the locker room,i also got pics with ex hog Scotty Thurman and ex coach Nolan Richardson, and talked to Goodwin little sister, she said he not sure if hes going pro,but hoped so...

Jesus man, okay if it makes you feel better, here goes...this years UK team is the greatest team in history and the only reason they have lost at all this year is because the refs cheat them. It is NOT because they dont rebound, because they are the best rebounding team ever (except only when there is a missed shot) and they are the toughest team thats ever stepped onto a court. The only reason they miss shots is because the refs sneak and put smaller rims on the backboard when nobody is looking, because UK would NEVER, EVER miss a shot otherwise. And by God, NOBODY hustles more than UK. Just look at them. The only reason they stand around when the OTHER team goes after loose balls is because the refs sneak and super glue the bottom of their shoes to the court when they arent looking, thus rendering them UNABLE to go after loose balls. Ryan Harrow and Archie Goodwin are NBA All Stars playing college basketball, and it isnt even fair to college basketball because they are SO INCREDIBLE at what they do. The only reason they turn the ball over 20 times a game is because the refs sneak a 20 lb weight inside the ball when they pass or dribble, and the ball goes everywhere. And Cal could win with four playe...no..make that three. Cal could put Jon Hood, Jared Polson and blindly point out someone else to step on the court and beat the '91 UNLV Rebels by 55 points, because.....he's Cal, and he's SUCH A GREAT X's and O's coach. The best. The G-O-A-T. No, none of UK's losses are attributed to them being soft, causing them to back down and quit when faced with adversity. None of their losses are because they are too lazy to rebound, hustle, or battle, and especially because they are uninspired. Nope. Its ALL the refs fault. Every embarrassing blowout loss this year is all because of the refs. I only hope the NCAA selection committee takes this into consideration and not only lets them into the tournament but gives them the overall #1 seed that they have rightly earned and deserve, as they steamroll their way to their 9th title, because we all know they wont be challenged by anybody. Wildcat, this team has the mental and physical toughness, the marksmanship shooting and rebounding, Cal's championship coaching and motivation, and no-mistake ball control, which will allow them to pummel whoever dares get in their way.

There...is that better?
