I sure hope he is.....
#6
Kasongo is a Senior
#7
He's Class of 2014, but a senior in KY.

Anyway, congrats JC! This should make for a good matchup in the Championship whoever it is that get there, but personally I think it will be ER...who will be looking to avenge last year's loss in the Region Championship.

JC showed alot of composure by fighting to the end. The Ray Kasongo fiasco comes to a close. Thank goodness.
#9
Nice win for johnson central, looks like it may be a all 57 district match up. Johnson central is playing really well right now going to be tough to beat. May be another trip to rupp!
#10
Losing Rowe will hurt more!
#11
Anyone got stats for this one?

That kid for JC came through for them. Can't remember his name at the moment.

Glad Central won....hopefully will be a rematch of the 57th!

Slade McPeek. Played really hard down the stretch. Hats off to Slade!!!
#15
Why is he a senior in the state of Ky?
#16
Don't know who the " butter bean bald" refree was, but her was horrible. Sure hope he doesn't call the finals. One of the worst I have ever seen.
#17
Sounds like a good game
#18
Great game to be at
#19
Totally off subject, but Ray Kasongo isnt near as big as I thought. Definitely a good size kid, but there is no way he much more than 6'4". I stood right beside him and I'm 6'2" and a half. I was thinkin he was like 6'8" or something.

You must have slipped and hit your head on something!
#21
Pikeville gave that game away several times in the last two minutes.
#22
Nope, just thought he was taller than he is. Never had seen him up close...

He's a legit 6'8 in filp-flops!
#24
Well I'll be. I didnt know they stacked crap that high....I must have been drunk..
#25
Ray Kasongo is legit 6'8 and 6'9 with Shoes on so he was either hunched over or you was drunk

Thought I had seen it all until tonight when the Ray Kasongo Traveling Road Show hit the Expo Center. My seat was directly behind the Pikeville bench. Kasongo's dad came in and stood behind the bench and blocked the view of people sitting in the stands. After he was told to move, he sat in the aisle until a timeout. He then took Coach Williams seat at the head of the bench. In addition, another guy that was not a coach or player sat at the end of the bench and only addressed Kasongo. In addition to being Kasongo's personal cheerleader, his only other job appeared to be to keep Kasongo calm. It got to the point where Coach Williams had to put him out of the huddle during timeouts. After halftime, dad moved to the end of the bench and the other guy was moved to the section behind the goal but he quickly came back to the end of the bench. Glad the Canadian project appears to be over in the 15th region.

Was probably Brandon Bender. He's got a lot invested in these kids, I'm sure. Maybe he got home in time to see Sports Overtime and check out the other meal tickets in the 14th highlights.

In all seriousness, I wonder how a high-character guy like Bart Williams could stand that kind of circus. Every coach wants a 6'8" athletic freak, but sometimes you subtract by addition. While I'm sure he would've loved to win a region as much or more than anyone in the building tonight, I imagine he's probably a little glad that business is over, too.

Where does Bender go next? Think the Piarist School would like to be the next basketball power in EKY?

Was not Brandon Bender. Looked more like a Spike Lee wannabe.

Yeah it wasn't Bender. 30 seconds left before the game started, the Kasongo gang was hugged up behind the court while the rest of the team was busy getting shots up. You HAVE to think Bart Williams is upset with the loss, however he is probably glad that this saga is over. I hope the rest of the 15th remembers the train wreck that has been the Kasongo era and learns from it. Congrats JC you earned this one.

Yeah, pikeville has been used! :biglmao:
