J. R. VanHoose (1994-98) - 3,095
Landon Slone (2005-08) - 2,827
John Pelphrey (1984-87) - 2,477
Todd Tackett (1994-98) - 2,082
Joey Couch (1984-87) - 2,034

Now add Trevor to the list, but I am not sure exactly how many points he has.

Thanks J! A lot of people were asking this last night. Those were the ones I knew for sure. But, wasn't sure on a couple others.

Great list of young men. Amazing that 2 of the six played at the same time. Talk about unselfishness

Well, myself and Todd Tackett played together and John Pelphrey and Joey Couch played together as well. That's impressive.

How about this:

From Paintsville's first 3-peat region champion teams (1985, 86, 87)

John Pelphrey - 2,477
Joey Couch - 2,034
Keith Adkins - 1,931 (7th all-time)
Mike Minix - 1,603 (13th all-time)
Jerry Pelphrey - 1,076 (25th all-time)

From Paintsville's next four regional champion teams (1995, 96, 97, 98)

J. R. VanHoose - 3,095
Todd Tackett - 2,082
Craig Ratliff - 1,841 (9th all-time)
Brian Lyon - 1,749 (10th all-time)
Josh McKenzie 1,151 (22nd all-time)

From Paintsville's last regional championship team (2008)

Landon Slone - 2,827
J. D. VanHoose - 1,878 (8th all-time)
Shane Grimm - 1,663 (12th all-time)
Blake Bundy - 1,058 (27th all-time)

I think that's pretty amazing!
