Kentucky Recruits
^ lolololol
LeeCoUKFan Wrote:Jason Hatcher's announcement is not listed on ESPNU's schedule but, it would not surprise me if it was in addition to having Mark Stoops' press conference on there as well since they're going to have NSD coverage from 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

I seen Hatcher tell someone on his twitter, I can't seem to find it now. Maybe it's true, maybe it's just hype or maybe he took it down because it was misinformation. None the less, www.kentucky.com is live streaming it tomorrow at 3.

Rivals.com has Hatcher decommitted from USC again.

I hope all this info is true on Hatcher, I love it when the in state guys stay in state. No reason that any 3* or higher should escape the grasp of Louisville or UK. Don't get me wrong, I HATE the fact that Quick is going to Louisville but I'd rather see him there than Ohio State.

I really thought Stoops & company, would go harder after Hunter Bivins, Ryan White, Dalyn Dawkins, & Joey Bloomfield. Don't take this wrong either but I'd much rather have Bivins, White & Bloomfield because they're in state guys but I guess I'll settle for Meadows, McClain, & Day.

I'm sincerely excited about Timmons & the possibility of landing Hatcher. I think it's a start of the in state guys staying in state.
I think Hatcher will be a wildcat
Franklin County's Ryan Timmons picks Kentucky

FRANKFORT -- Changing direction has always been Ryan Timmons' strength.

The speedy, shifty three-star receiver from Franklin County High School committed to Kentucky on Tuesday, choosing the Wildcats over Florida, Ohio State and Illinois.

"Next year," he said at a ceremony at his school, "I'll be playing for the University of Kentucky."

He had his heart set on UK late last week, but a visit to Florida over the weekend nearly changed his mind.

He made his final decision on Monday night and told the coaching staffs on Tuesday morning. Timmons had been considered a UK lean for much of the recruiting process, but he said that wasn't always the case. As the Wildcats stumbled through a 2-10 season under previous head coach Joker Phillips, UK faded.

But new head coach Mark Stoops and his staff made Timmons, the No. 5 prospect in Kentucky, a major priority. Defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot, Stoops' first assistant to be hired, visited Timmons the same day he joined the staff. Offensive coordinator Neal Brown also put a full-court press on Timmons, and the two clicked immediately.

"Coach Brown wants to score touchdowns, wants to score points," Timmons said. "That's what I like to do. I like to score touchdowns. He wants to score every time he gets a chance. Me and Coach Brown have a good relationship. We hit it off the first day we talked."

Phillips was never out of the picture, even after he was out at Kentucky. Florida surged late and Timmons visited Gainesville last weekend made him question his decision.

Ultimately, though, the Wildcats were the right fit. Brown's "Air Raid" offense, which is similar to the one Timmons played in at Franklin County, stood out immediately. The chance to stay close to family and friends was also important.

So was the opportunity to help rebuild Kentucky's program, which slipped in the last two seasons.

"I think it would mean more for me to help build something instead of something already being built and following along in their success," Timmons said. "I think UK will give me a challenge to improve and try to win an SEC championship. It's going to be hard, but I want that challenge."

The decision weighed heavily on Timmons, though. He would write lists of the pros and cons of each school daily, considering his options. He became choked up at least twice before he made his announcement and had to stop to regain his composure.

Kentucky gets one of the most explosive in-state athletes in Timmons. He had 106 touchdowns over the last three seasons at Franklin County and averaged 22.6 yards per touch during his career with the Flyers.

"He's once-in-a-lifetime," Franklin County coach Chris Tracy said. "We'll have other Division-I kids, but he's a once-in-a-lifetime kid. That doesn't just speak to his athletic ability, that speaks to the type of kid he is."

He's just the second in-state commit for UK in 2013, but Timmons said he'd try to change that. He'll talk to Trinity defensive end Jason Hatcher before signing day, trying to recruit the Rivals 250 defensive end to UK. Hatcher has cut his list to UK and Southern California, Timmons said.

When he arrives on campus, he'll help as an inside receiver who could spend some time in the backfield in Brown's system.

"I've been running this offense since I was in seventh grade, so I'm comfortable with it," Timmons said. "When I went on my official visit, we went over plays. I already know all the plays Coach Brown was putting in, so for me, that will be a good start."

Timmons' commitment vaults UK to the No. 30 recruiting class in the country, which would be the Wildcats' highest ranked class ever. It also keeps momentum in Kentucky's corner just hours before national signing day.

Now it's up to Timmons to use his speed to help UK's program change directions.

"(Coach Brown) didn't stress that they need me," Timmons said. "He said they want me. I think need and want are two different things.

"But I think I can help the team out a little bit with my talent."

Kyle Tucker @KyleTucker_CJ If Jason Hatcher does sign with UK, the Cats' class would move up to No. 22 in Rivals' rankings (not factoring other teams' additions).

Jason Hatcher!!

They also have him listed on our commits on the website, as committing today. They have him rated an 83 along with Za'Darius Smith & Javess Blue. Did someone let the CAT out of the bag early or was this just a typo?? Maybe someone got him confused with Ryan Timmons??

In other late breaking news, per KSR's Matt Jones, 4* DT Keith Bryant from Delray Beach, FL has now added UK into the mix of his final decision along with USC, South Carolina, FSU, & Miami(FL). Consensus seems to be it would be a shock if he wound up at UK or USC.

I don't think they got confused because they have Ryan Timmons listed too.

He's listed on UK's football page on ESPN as committed!!!
UK should jump to 22nd on rivals with Hatcher's commitment.
Word is ESPN's source is Hatcher's mother. Which for all intensive purposes, has me less excited considering she reported he was committed to USC & we see how that has went.
Nice to see the state's best players staying here in the state wearing BLUE!

306 pound 4 star Florida Defensive Tackle Keith Bryant says he is considering Kentucky when he makes his announcement tomorrow. For weeks, everyone has assumed that the star player was picking between South Carolina, Florida State and Miami. But today he went hat shopping and picked up a USC AND Kentucky hat as well.

He tells 24/7 Sports about the Cats:

“I love Coach Stoops at Kentucky and he’s offering me a deal I can’t refuse,” Bryant said. “I would have a chance to go up there with Tevin (Spells) and the rest of my teammates. Anything could happen with that.”

ESPN and Rivals differ quite a bit and IMO Rivals is better than ESPN when it comes to recruiting. Right now we are ahead of Missouri and Arkansas on Rivals. So I don't think that is to bad and we still have the opportunity to pass Tennessee and Miss State tomorrow on NSD.

ESPNU is pumping up Tennessee and the job Butch Jones has done so far.
Rivals has Hatcher done to Loserville and UK...both being high...USC is low....but one of the guys that's recruiting him at Louisville is none other than Clint Hurtt....the same one that's being investigated
When is all these announcemnts suppose to come tomorrow, well what time does it start and where can we watch all the commitments???
^^^ They sure are. Call me a homer but I think UK has been the most sucessful in the SEC.
A lot of them will be on espnu starting at 7:30am
