Now if Hatcher signs our recruiting class will really jump up. Stoops has done a heck of a job in a short time. I can only see things just getting better from here on out.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Wide receiver Ryan Timmons of Franklin County High School announced he'll be heading to the University of Kentucky Tuesday afternoon.

Flanked by his mother and his grandmother, Timmons made his announcement in a packed gym at the high school. Timmons became emotional before making the announcement, hats representing Kentucky, Florida, Illinois and Ohio State were in front of him.

Timmons is rated the fourth best prospect in the state. At 5-11, he scored 45 touchdowns as a senior and racked up more than 1,000 yards both receiving and rushing.

Timmons made an official visit to UK January 18 and made three unofficial visits. His decision is a major boost to the first recruiting class of coach Mark Stoops. It should vault the UK class into the Top-30 in the nation.

It could be a number of people, but I don't see it being Quick. I guess it could be though. But it also could be Vandy commit D.J. White. It could be Purdue commit Dalyn Dawkins. It could be 2* QB Travis Wright, who has no offers thus UK may have offered him a preferred walk-on spot.

We'll take Wright if it means getting Hatcher & it wouldn't be that bad of the pick up. Not to mention it seems to be the most likely of the four to come with Hatcher.

Hatcher announces tomorrow at 3, the same time as Stoops' press conference. Supposedly on one of the ESPN's. I'm sure KSR will live stream it or blog it, along with Stoops' presser.

Jason Hatcher's announcement is not listed on ESPNU's schedule but, it would not surprise me if it was in addition to having Mark Stoops' press conference on there as well since they're going to have NSD coverage from 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Watched him sign via live stream and it was very awesome to see him show so much emotion and get choked and into tears thanking everyone! And it was so cool seeing a Ohio State and Florida up on the table beside a Kentucky hat and the Kentucky hat get picked up! Awesome! So excited about this season.
