Do you have the final stats?

Seems like Cordia plays better against bigger opponents. Kids need to bring it every game. Nothing against Powell. Congrats lions for a win after a tough loss last night.

Owootoah had 24. Warren had a crap load of rebounds, not sure the total but I'd say it was well over 20

^ Third in the state in boards with 13.8 a game. Total glasseater

Gotta play better than this boys.

^ Got that right. King seems to have trouble settling in. Should change around the next couple games.

For those of who are asking about the Technical Foul Owootoah received here is why:
He was called for a foul, he laid the ball down in front of the official, the official went to get the ball, Owootoah then kicks it away from the official, the official asks him to go get it, he doesn't and the official T's him up.
I think Cordia had 2 to foul out while Powell had 2-3, don't remember the exact amount of players.

Cordia acted like a bunch of "punks" all night and Rhodes wasn't much better. If I was ORIGINALLY fron Cordia and my child was on that team I would move and send him elsewhere. They are an embarrassment to the 14th Region;not with their skills but with the attitudes they have.Last night they got a wake-up call.

When they announced this score at the All A championship I literally laughed out loud..couldn't help it.
Congrats Powell on taking them to the wire!

Florida State and UCONN supposed to be on the "Creek" Tuesday.

Cordia has to be the most hated team in the 14th. Hands down.

No, I bet the ref's called a lot of walks against cordia, because that's the only reason Powell could have played them that close and of course that's the only reason Knott beat them!!!

Good game Powell. Represented 56th well.

I heard powell co got robbed. powell had 2 point lead with a few secs left and had the ball in bounding and the in bounder yelled for a timeout and wasnt granted it so the turnover led to a cordia bucket to put it overtime. anyone at the game confirm that pc got hosed?

Sounded like a slug fest to me. 3 players from each side fouled out. And each side had a couple with 4 from what I said told.

You heard right. Brooks (Powell) was set to check the ball in with 14 seconds left, he couldn't find anyone so he started yelling timeout timeout, the ref didn't give it to him and gave Powell a 5 second inbounds call. Cordia checked it in, Owootoah got it, made a shot in the lane to tie the game and send it into OT.
I don't know if the ref heard him because it was so loud or what the deal was.

It was actually from the sound of things a fairly called game. I wasn't there but I listened to it from start to finish, I don't think they were any breaks given. Powell played them close because Powell came to play. First half was close, Marcum (Powell) got hot from the outside in the 3rd quarter scoring 13 points including 3 straight 3's

Any stats on the game?
01-20-2013, 07:44 PM
nicker:Stopped and watched this game on the way home from Scott Co. Surprised to see the officals on the game. 2 of the 3 was or is employed by the Knott co school system. It became obvious that they was from Hindman with some of the calls. Otherwise A hard fought win for the lions. Big difference in playing powell co or playing in A regional championship!!

I know Coach Rhodes had his trouble last year, but a question to anybody that has watched them play this year, has he cleaned that up and behaving himself or is he still up to those antics he had last year?
01-20-2013, 09:31 PM
From what I can tell, Owootoah has taken over the 14th region. I may be wrong but I believe Cordia might be the favorite in the 14th come tournament time. I haven't seen them play but it'll be hard to beat that much talent.
