Knott has beat cordia 3x now how many excuses can u have? They beat them on a home away an neutral court what argument do u have that says cordia is better? Both teams played a great game give them some credit.

Did anyone say anything about how talented knott was or previous games? I said knott played a great game moron. Only thing I said is the refs favored knott in this one. Knott beat us far n square the two times before. But when ky sports websites post something about the refs, get off ur bandwagon for 2 seconds an open your eyes. Once again good game to both sides. Cordia hold your heads high, you will continue to Improve.

I was at the game and am as neutral as can be, being from the 56th district it didn't matter to me one way or the other who won this game. But anyone who states on here that this game was evenly called by the officials was not watching the same game I observed. Me and everyone sitting around me pretty much agreed that Cordia was fighting an uphill battle with the officials. I'm not going to give a rundown of all the bad calls and no-calls, but I'll just leave it at saying it made a difference in the outcome of the game imo.

We've got a kid that's been playing a little over a week and we're calling him the best player in the region?!
As far as who is or isn't a "D-1" player...
I could care less.
I want to know who is the better High School player.
I've not seen the kid in person...
but let's let him play a few more games before we declare this kid the top of the region.

Anyone have the stats for this one?

I never hear anybody from Lotts Creek making statements like this

[quote=KHSAA12]^7 points was knocked off of Cordia for walks being called after the ball went through the hoop. Combs 3, King jumper, and Warren lay in. Jaylyn Williams mom approached me after the game and told me personally "the refs favored knott the whole game in calls, you was odivously cheated." All i take from that is a fan that can see when a walk is obviously not a walk. But we have TONS of room for improvement with team chemistry. Knotts at its peek. Cordia is a top contender in this region and has the best all around PLAYER in this region on their team. I'm pretty sure E had about 30 tonight. That's not to special i guess against a top 25 team in the state.[/QUOTE
Who do think you are Lynyrd Skynyrd? You don't get 3 steps in basketball!
They were all walks, and several more were missed!

Maybe Rhodes also need to get refs from canada to come to the 14th region. When he get ball players from canada he need to make sure the kids family are refs also.

Get off the bandwagon????? I've always been for knott now tell me when this big cordia lion nation started an became a trend???? It came with Rhodes an will leave when he dose as well.

I agree with you so much that when Rhodes leave(with in the next two years) the pipe line from canada will stop. Kids like Austin Combs is getting pass up because Rhodes keep bringing kids from other states. I all the teams get kids to come in and play for them but when you bring 5 to 7 players that is getting out of control.

Combs started. And would love to know how u know Rods leaving when everyone said he wouldn't be here again this season. Bet u never even spoke to the man, have you? And as far as walks go. If any person thinks MORE walks should have been assessed to CHS, then I honestly don't know why they even played last night. You do realize 5 walks was called on Warren alone on the first half. And 1 for kcc the whole game. Add all Cordias previous games up and more walks was called against them last night.

Great game I was glad to see both sides handled it in a very professional manner

This game was hard to watch. The shoving call after the three justice missed was one of the most horrible calls I had seen. The charge on warren when he went up to dunk was almost equally as bad. Its easy to see justice is the darling of the region. He is a great player, but shouldnt get all the calls as well. The one play when he lowered his shoulder, took 3 steps, he was clearly outta control, but call a block. Brian Napier and Brian Cook were horrible.

Wait a minute....Tennessee has been to see ooowaoootaoooaooooah, a senior, and hasn't offered? But justice, a sophomore, got a scholarship offer? Interesting.......

^ Owootoah is 16. Every player from Canada is already so far ahead academic wise almost everyone of them have to reclassify. And I could every much see Tennessee offering Camron. Hes got the D-1 shot and somewhat height. He will be an even better player come senior year. Knott Co. in itself has two teams that could easily win this region. Have to respect both.

If BC called that game, no wonder KCC won, he's thrown more than one game for them!! The refs for this tourney should come from other regions, just like the regular region does!!

He most likely ends up in prep school if this is true.

bc is not no homer for kcc. He just cant ref no matter what games he calls. Cook needs to stop being a ref and do something else. Him and napier are probably the wrost refs in the east ky. These two makes bad calls all the time. one minute you think hey they call for that team than they will start making calls for the other team. They cant ref that simple.
01-19-2013, 03:35 PM
Looks like Short gotta taste of that killer crossover around the 3:30 mark in the video. But the foul at 2:50 called on Cordia was one of the worst fouls I have ever seen in Highschool basketball. Can't award someone after walking for being out of control. Not a good message to send the youth. Justice got that call because of who he is. But he cant help that.

Heard these was Knotts top 3 refs. But I agree they are terrible.

This would be fine Kentuckyfan.......as long as the refs had called the numerous walks, carrying the ball, and foul violations on Knott on the other end of the floor. But they didn't. They overlooked them.
Also, what about in the last seconds of the 4th quarter and Cordia trailing by 2, the Lions took a shot and missed, and Justice came down with the rebound and clearly dribbled it on the inline. The ref, was right on top of the call and didn't call it out of bounds. He swallowed his whistle. And that was a crucial miscall because then Cordia had to foul him and of course he knocked down both free throws. Those are the type of overlooked violations and uneven calls that went on all night. Everyone in the area of the gym I was sitting in, and it wasn't the side Cordia's fans were sitting on, were talking about the officiating. It was bad to say the least, but only bad toward one team. If this game had been played with Bluegrass officials Cordia would have won by 10 points.

I want to add, though, that I will be rooting for the Patriots 100% as representative of the 14th region to win the All A state tournament (I'm assuming they are going to win the region tonight) They do have a fun team to watch and being mostly sophomores they're going to be around for a while. Justice will be hard to stop at the state tourney.

lol,I'm glad ya found somethin to brag about, but heck I dont blame ya. 0-3

Love em or hate em. Justice and Owootoah are the best two players in the region. You can debate all day long about who is better, but they are heads and shoulders above the rest.
01-19-2013, 05:54 PM
We can fight all day...
Cordia lost this game no matter what the refs did.
But!
In back-to-back games they beat Hazard and gave Knott all they can handle.
I think it's safe to say that the Lions have arrived.
