I'm starting to think Woulard and Badet (Sp?) are going to Clemson as a package. I think if they both go then it's huge that we get both Barker and Timmons.

Badet doesn't hold an offer from Clemson?? Nor is he scheduled to visit. Maybe you've gotten news from a source, I don't but I don't think he's even gotten a sniff from Clemson. However, I do feel we're struggling to stay afloat with Woulard due to Clemson. In state studs such as Barker & Timmons are a must every year. No in state kid 3 Star or greater should get out of state. Whether it be Louisville or UK I firmly believe it.

UK has in-home visit with USC commit Hatcher
Justin Rowland
Special to CatsIllustrated.com
Just after four-star and Rivals250 defensive end Jason Hatcher took his official visit to Kentucky he and his family opened their home to UK assistant coach D.J. Eliot.
Upon returning from Lexington on Sunday, Hatcher raved about the trip to Cats Illustrated. He noted the positive energy around the football program and said the trip exceeded his expectations.
Eliot stopped by the Hatcher residence on Tuesday, and Hatcher's mother was impressed. That's always a good thing.
"They've been very impressive," said Donna Hatcher, the USC commit's mother. "They really have impressed us.
"He talked about what they had done at the previous places they had been at and what their plan was for turning around Kentucky. It was a good message and we enjoyed it."
Of course, it won't be the last time Eliot and other coaches from UK speak with Hatcher and his family. Nor will it be the last in-home visit college coaches have with the Trinity standout.
USC assistant coach Tee Martin and coaches from Florida and Louisville are likely to stop by to meet with the family as well.
Hatcher's trip to Kentucky over the weekend was the first of process for him. He is scheduled to visit USC, Florida and Louisville consecutively in the weeks leading up until Signing Day.
In recent days there has been increased speculation that Kentucky may be in a better position than they were previously thought to be in.

Joseph, Montgomery could be package deal
Justin Rowland
Special to CatsIllustrated.com
Boaz Joseph and Alex Montgomery took their official visits to Kentucky over the weekend and the Weston (Fla.) Cypress Bay stars will each have a difficult decision to make in the coming weeks.
Cornerback Joseph still has trips to Nebraska (Jan. 18) and Cincinnati (Jan. 25) before he announces his college destination.
Wide receiver Montgomery will not be joining him on those trips, but Joseph said the two are likely to land at the same school.
That could bode well for Kentucky.
"I really enjoyed Kentucky," Joseph said. "Alex felt the same way. We're going to be together on this decision."
When asked whether that meant the two would go to college as a packaged deal Boaz responded, "Probably so."
As far as he's concerned, just three schools are still under consideration: UK and the two schools he will visit in the next two weeks.
The recruiting process will be more of a grind than ever, as he's sure that coaches from at least Nebraska and Kentucky plan to stop by for in-home visits this month as well.
Joseph visited Kentucky for the first time over the summer when Joker Phillips was still the head coach. This was his second trip to Lexington.
"The weather was definitely different but the feel at the school wasn't," he said. "The staff definitely seemed like they had a lot more energy. It felt like it was time for a change."
In fact, that was Mark Stoops' personal message to Joseph and the other recruits:
"Time for change," Joseph repeated. "That's what (Stoops) said."
Defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot had been recruiting Joseph when he was the defensive ends coach at Florida State. He's just recruiting him a lot harder now.
"He's a real cool dude," Joseph said. "Coach Stoops really has a lot of energy."
The coaches didn't talk about the depth chart too much but they did tell Joseph that if he works hard he could work his way onto the field as early as his freshman season.
While many of the other recruits on campus this weekend were from Joseph's home state he did not know any of them as most were from upper Florida. And while Florida is a good distance from Kentucky, Joseph didn't even notice.
"It didn't feel like it was far at all," he said.

Word is that he already has Kentucky as his favorite and is expected to commit either during his visit or shortly after.

Boaz Joseph is the one that has two more official visits but, he was quoted, in the article that I posted, saying that he and Alex Montgomery would be making the decision together also saying that they would be a package deal. Considering that the only other school that both have a credible amount of interest in is Wisconsin, I would say that we have a pretty good chance of getting them.

I'm not sure, worries me but I trust that Stoops knows what he's doing when it comes to recruiting. Me personally, I think it's due to basketball game. We're at Auburn this weekend but have LSU at home on 01/26/13. Everyone wants to take in a basketball game at Rupp, take in the BBN, & meet Coach Cal. From my account this is who will be on campus this weekend:
Marcus McWilson-may be on campus
Jacob Hyde-UK commit, confirmed visit
Nate Willis-UK Commit, confirmed visit
Ryan Timmons-Confirmed visit
Jeff Badet-Confirmed visit
Howard Wilder-USF commit, may be on campus
Ernest Suttles-Flipped his commitment from Iowa State to Nebraska last week, may be on campus
Rapheal Cox-Flipped his commitment from New Mexico to WKU last week, may be on campus

Joseph is visiting Nebraska this weekend & then Cincinnati the next, which expires all 5 of Boaz's OV's. However, Montgomery is visiting UCF this weekend & is down to UK, UCF, & Louisville. Whereas, Joseph doesn't have offers from UCF or Louisville. UCF is using Brandon Marshall as a recruiting tool, saying Montgomery could be the next Marshall at UCF. Fellow Cypress Bay teammate, Matt Dayes visited UCF last weekend. Also fellow teammate, Jaranta Lewis has interest in UK & was suppose to be on campus last weekend but to may knowledge didn't make it due to the Dade-Broward All-Star game. Likewise, UK commit Alvonte Bell also played in it but was on campus Saturday for his visit. I like our chances with Boaz & Montgomery, unless Wisconsin or another team could makes a play for a visit the last couple weekends, which is possible.

Jake Boynton, found out this morning he no longer has an offer from UK. Hearing he's Marshall bound, good luck & God Bless young man. Hope it works out for you. Making room, I'd imagine. I expect some news today.
Trying to find out who Joe Adams is & what he tweeted out but apparently something about UK football.
Mikel Horton tweeted he was watching a lot of stuff on UK & makes him want to play some ball.
2014 Cincinnati native DB Mike Edwards said he was visiting UC this weekend & possibly UK next.
Jeff Badet is in Lexington & realizing he's not in Florida anymore because it's cold.
With Boynton no longer committed we are ranked 42nd.
Patrick Towles birthday today, be sure to wish him a happy one.
Marcus McWilson tweeted out "Envy my past, fear my future."
Joe Adams is apparently the guy who said yesterday UK had flipped McWilson's commit, however Mr. Adams also ask McWilson this morning if he was still visiting UK.
Mr. Adams is Writer for Evening News, IUSportCom, BBN Wildcats, and Big Blue Topia. Basically young writer trying to make it so I imagine he's trying to be the first to break a story.

Maka drawing attention on both sides of the ball
Justin Rowland
Special to CatsIllustrated.com
David Maka is talking to coaches from a couple of schools in the Pac-12 but it's an SEC school that has captured his attention.
Kentucky, UCLA and Utah are the schools in the most contact with the 6-foot-3, 315-pound two-way lineman from Tustin (Calif.).
One reason for their attention: Maka is one of the few college prospects available that's a pure center, but he's also hearing that schools like him as a defensive tackle.
In fact, it's UK's defensive line coach that has been recruiting him for the Wildcats.
"It's coach (Jimmy) Brumbaugh that I've been talking to," Maka said. "He's talked to me about the new staff, what they're doing and all that. I think it's a great opportunity. I just want to see what it's like."
Of course, Lexington is a long way from California. That distance is enough to scare some prospects off. Not Maka.
"I'll be fine with that," he said.
The way Maka speaks it's almost as though he considers himself a Wildcat already. He's not, and UK hasn't offered. But if that offer comes Maka knows what he would do.
"I'm going out there this weekend (on an official visit) and if they do offer I'll commit," he said. "They've told me they want me to come out there and see what it's like."
Maka does not have an offer from UCLA but earlier in the process he did pick up offers from Cal, Utah, San Diego State and Hawaii.
The three-star prospect is rated the No. 13 offensive center in the nation by Rivals.com.
