Just caught wind of some big news, 4 Star WR/DB & FSU commit Marquez White visiting this coming weekend.
There's your news SO King!!! LOL.
In the words of TO, getcha pocorn!!!
Miles only got Purdue scheduled for next weekend. Likely to also visit Nebraska, Pitt, & WVU if he wanted to exhaust all of his visits. Which a kid at that age, I'd use all 5 & enjoy the traveling to these big programs.

News on Timmons though, he didn't visit Ohio State yesterday & didn't visit UK.....officially but did take in the UK basketball game. Per his twitter.
Confirmed MacKenro Alexander was on campus without his brother MacKenzie. :Sad04:
Hatcher had this to say about his weekend, "I did not expect to see so much excitement around the program." Hatcher has planned an in home visit with the UK coaches later in the week.
Hearing more news to come as the night progresses.....Stay tuned
I saw video of the Timmons kid on ESPN recruit rankings site and let me tell you this kid is explosive and that would be a good get for Kentucky.

I do have a question about recruiting, when a recruit comes to visit a school, does the school pay for his trip, hotel room, food, etc. etc. or does that come out of the recruit/parents pocket?

Just seen on twitter that Clemson has thrown a wrench into Woulard to Kentucky so I'm assuming they just offered.

Most schools have set aside a recruiting budget. It's the coaches' & AD's responsibility to disperse it as seen necessary. Of the recruiting trips I've been associated with (FCS, DII, DIII, & NAIA) the school only paid for the visit, which was basically only food & transportation around campus. If it was an overnight stay you had the option of a personal paid hotel or staying in the dorm with one of the players. Now for FBS schools, I'd imagine the school is capable of paying for a lot more. I do know most of the guys from Florida, Kansas, & Texas on this trip had flights & had hotels. I think most of the Ohio guys drove in. I do know that Samples had a driver pick him up on the way to the airport in an Escalade. Kemp had a stretch limo driver pick him up from the airport after he returned & thanked UK for it via his twitter. So I'm guessing they paid for that.
Of course Kemp may have been with the UK coaches on his flight & limo ride, as I'm hearing they were in house for a visit. Maybe they can get to Woulard tomorrow, & trump this Clemson hype.

Father of QB Woulard talks about son's Kentucky visit
With less than a month until Signing Day the recruitment of Asiantii Woulard has become one of the biggest storylines in the world of recruiting.
The former South Florida commit took his official visit to Kentucky this weekend and his father, who had the opportunity to speak with the younger Woulard after he returned home from Lexington, said the Wildcats showed him a good time.
"He said he had a real good time," Michael Woulard said. "He said it was all great. The visit was great. He said he liked the area and the basketball game. I think they had quite a few receivers and he knew most of them already."
Anyone who follows recruits on Twitter knows that Woulard and Ra'Shaad Samples have formed a solid bond.
"He said (Samples) was a pretty cool guy," his father said.
The coaches went to great lengths to make the case that the offense was a great match for Woulard's skill set.
"He already liked the offense," the elder Woulard said. "We looked at that together when (Neal Brown) was at Texas Tech. I think they're going to run the same offense. They're going to throw the ball a lot. What quarterback wouldn't want to do that?"
Recently it appeared that Florida would emerge as Kentucky's biggest competition for the four-star recruit. But the Gators have rubbed at least one Woulard the wrong way with how they have gone about things.
"Florida's been talking to us probably about a year now," Woulard's father said. "They haven't offered. They talked to him in San Antonio (at the U.S. Army All-American Game), and I talked to Joker (Phillips) (Sunday) night for the first time. He was saying he wanted to visit him at the school.
"I said, 'Well, ya'll have been saying you want him. It's been this or that for over a year but nobody's offered him. I'm not really big on that.'"
Does that mean the Woulard family is ready to turn the page on the Gators?
"I am," he answered. "I don't know what he (Asiantii) is doing. When [Charlie] Weis and (Urban) Meyer were there they were on him. Now Joker's on the case.
"I told (Phillips), 'I sent you film at Kentucky,' and he said (Asiantii) was committed at the time and he knew the coaches over at South Florida.' I think they had just offered Reese Phillips as well.
"I said that didn't make a lot of sense because a lot of schools continue to recruit you (after a verbal commitment). And (Asiantii) committed way, way, way too early."
Kentucky's coaches made a good impression on Woulard over the weekend and Chad Scott in particular made a strong impression on the elder Woulard during a recent in-home visit.
"He was a pretty good guy," he said. "I've been speaking with him for several months. They had their own quarterback situation but we've been talking four or five months."
As if that's not enough drama, reports broke over the weekend that Clemson had become the latest school to get involved with Woulard.
Sources have informed Cats Illustrated that the Tigers have offered the four-star signal-caller and Woulard will officially visit the ACC school this weekend.

Hatcher solid with USC, but impressed with his look at UK
Justin Rowland
Special to CatsIllustrated.com
Jason Hatcher may have been the most talented prospect to visit Kentucky over the weekend. That's saying something.
Still, there were, and are, plenty of questions: Namely, does Kentucky really have a legitimate chance to flip the Trojan commit?
"I'm still probably about 90 percent," Hatcher said after returning home from Lexington on Sunday.
That's basically what he's been saying all along. While 10 percent odds aren't very good, you probably can't read too much into those numbers. The Kentucky coaches recruited him this weekend as though he wasn't committed at all.
What did the Rivals250 defensive end think about what he saw and experienced?
"I was really impressed," Hatcher said. "I wasn't expecting to see so much positive energy around the football program. The staff told me they're putting $100 million into renovating the stadium and sports complexes."
Even prior to Hatcher's trip he raved about Mark Stoops in a video interview with national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell down in San Antonio at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Is it safe to say he's impressed with the staff Stoops has assembled?
"Oh yeah, I think so," he said.
While Hatcher spent time with all of the coaches this weekend he did say that he spent more time with defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot than anyone else.
"Playing time was one of the big things. He also obviously talked about the history they've had (at Florida State) coaching defensive ends. They talked about what they plan to do to turn around the program," he said.
Hatcher said he knew some of the other recruits from events he attended earlier in the recruiting process but he also met plenty of prospects for the first time.
The four-star defensive end will take official visits to USC (Jan. 18), Florida (Jan. 25) and Louisville (Feb. 2) before Signing Day.
Hatcher also added that plenty of coaches, including some from Kentucky, will be making trips to his house for in-home visits this week.

Ties to Brumbaugh could help sway Reed to Kentucky
Justin Rowland
Special to CatsIllustrated.com
Jimmy Brumbaugh has already been instrumental in securing a commitment from one top defensive lineman. Could he help the Cats real in another?
It seems that's a distinct possibility when you listen to Jarran Reed talk about his looming decision.
Brumbaugh was instrumental in helping the Cats to sign Za'Darius Smith, also of East Mississippi Community College.
"Yeah, (having Brumbaugh) helps them," Reed said with a laugh.
Not just because Reed and Brumbaugh know each other well. Reed trusts him as a man and as a coach and believes that continuing his football career under him could help him.
"He pushes you and gets you prepared for situations you're going to face," he said. "So I'm comfortable with him."
Reed's mother, who admits she would like to see her son close to home in North Carolina, also seemed comfortable with the idea of her son following Brumbaugh to Lexington if that's what he wants to do.
"He had been recruiting him earlier from another school," she said. "Coach Brumbaugh and I were just laughing about that the other day."
Reed's official visit to Kentucky is scheduled for Jan. 18, one week after an official to Florida and a week before his official to North Carolina. He's already been to North Carolina multiple times.
Both the Wildcats and Tar Heels would offer him the opportunity to play early. The Florida draw is different.
"I just really like their coaches," Reed said. "They've got great coaches that I have a lot of respect for. And coach (Will) Muschamp is a great guy."
Reed remains committed to Ole Miss but emphasized that he's not necessarily going to hold himself to that.
"It could change," he said. "I don't know how likely that is but it could change."

This is our 3rd best class since 2002 so far (2002 is as far back as rivals goes). In 2006 we ended up #36 and in 2009 we ended up with #41. We are currently #49. With the way our recruiting is looking, we could end up with the best recruiting class Kentucky has had in over decade. (could be more, like I said, Rivals only goes back to 2002)

Was not him or the just conflicting info. As Rowland tweeted out, the visit wouldn't take place until 01/25/13 for mystery visitor.
DeAngelo Yancey just confirmed that everything was still good with him on the UK front as far as scholarship availability, after speaking with Coach Brown.
He along with his fellow Atlanta & UK commit TE Darren Dowdrell will be on campus along with other recruits 01/25/13.
As I predicted last night, Neal Brown visited in home today with Woulard & his family.
5 Star DE Dee Liner decommitted from Auburn, this after he visited Alabama last weekend. He also holds an offer from UK.
Kyle Meadows tweeted out he couldn't wait to get started at UK.
As planned, Ryan Timmons will visit UK (officially) this weekend.
Charlie Strong came to visit Mikel Horton, which means he probably also try to get in to sway Meadows one last time.

Not real excited about this guy, dropped from Cincy & holds offers from the whole MAC conference. Doesn't seem to be of Stoops caliber.
Strong also at La Salle to Kief & possibly pitch to Hytchye.

With all the info & rumors flying. I've been able to gather & confirm that there 18 recruits, officially on campus this past weekend. With that weekend behind us, let's take a look at the guys who were on campus & the guys who are anticipated to be on campus in weeks to come. You'll see some new names & guys that have been named that are unlikely to visit now. Let's take a look:
This past weekend:
Ra'Shaad Samples 4 star WR Dallas, TX-Oklahoma State commit but has a great relationship with Neal Brown. Had a great time on visit but visiting Oklahoma State this week.
Asiantii Woulard 4 Star QB Winter Park, FL-USF decommit & HS teammate of UK commit Blake McClain. Had a great time on visit but now Clemson offered. Visiting Clemson 1/18/13 & UCLA 1/25/13.
Jason Hatcher 4 Star DE Trinity-USC commit but is visiting UK along with Florida, USC, & Louisville. Although says he’s 90% committed to USC was impressed by UK’s enthusiasm & coaching staff. In home visit this week.
Alvonte Bell 4 Star DE Mirmar, FL-UK commit
Aregeros Turner 3 Star RB Akron, OH-Cincinnati decommit & has UK in Top 3 with Cincinnati & Tennessee. With Tuberville’s shenanigans, likely a UK lean. Doesn’t have any more visits scheduled
JoJo Kemp 3 Star RB Deland, FL-Has UK in Top 4 with Tennessee, Pitt, & USF. Visited Pitt in December & scheduled for a visit to Tennessee this weekend but told Rivals he will not take any more visits. UK coaches followed him home for an in home visit
Jaleel Hytchye 3 Star DB Cincinnati, OH-UK Commit & UK’s biggest cheerleader. UK offered his former teammate at LaSalle 2014 WR Derek Kief, this week. However, Louisville staff at LaSalle today
Blake McClain 3 Star DB Winter Park, FL-UK commit & HS teammate with Woulard but visited Pitt in December with Kemp due to coaching change. Says he’s solid UK.
Kyle Meadows 3 Star OT West Chester, OH-UK commit. Race came down to UK & Oklahoma
Javess Blue 3 Star JUCO WR-UK commit
Antoine Miles 3 Star DL Canton, OH-Visiting Purdue this weekend. Said to have the most fun ever at UK. Believed to have given silent commitment to UK but looking at all options.
Boaz Joseph 3 Star DB Weston, FL-Visited Purdue & Wisconsin. Scheduled Cincinnati & Nebraska visits. Teammates with Montgomery. Likely to land at the same school. UK only school in common

my guess is that their sample of TdF riders and even 200 mile bike race participants was zero. But I'm too lazy to track down the article and find out. My own observations of the randonneuring population in the U.S. shows that randonneuring doesn't exactly guarantee that you will not have heart issues, some fatal.

J.Rowland @RowlandRIVALS Heard from multiple sources that Cape Coral (FL) Baker DE/DT Regie Meant may have committed to #Kentucky this weekend. Working to confirm .
J.Rowland @RowlandRIVALS
If Meant is committed, need on DL is less urgent but #UK will continue pursuit of Hatcher (in-home today), Reed, etc.
