Texas A&M 83 - Kentucky 71
#1
Final

Turner (A&M) 40 pts

Kentucky's home 24 consecutive SEC wins streak has ended

Pathetic..
#3
Taylor could not be stopped.
Nothing can be done with someone pulling up from 25 feet out and throwing it in.
#4
With 5:00 remaining in the game, UK has a 4 point lead. From that point on, A&M kicked the Cats teethe down their throats!

Hats off to Elston Turner. I remember his father. This kid was lights out today!

Hard to win when the other team has a guy who is playing out of his mind and making shots that I shoot in horse. The kid was an absolute beast, and we had nooooo answer for him. But with the way he played, they would have beat our team from last year. Cats really didn't ply bad at all, and there's going to be all these true UK fans say they suck but I honestly didn't think they played that bad. The Turner kid was just amazing! We got a lot of work to do though. But we'll be alright.

Please elaborate on why your saying pathetic? It's hard to win when a guy plays the game of his life from 25-30 feet from the basket.

Then stop the other 4 players on the floor! The game was lost not by what Turner made happen. The game was lost by being so pathetic to stop the other players on the floor!

This years UK squad has one player whose desire is "ON" for 40 minutes, and that is Noel. I have seen more lazy passes resulting in steals, horrendous effort in blocking out when rebounding, and complete failure to hustle on defense to allow uncontested transition baskets.

This team is no longer Freshmen! This has nothing to do with the youth of the team when the team is 7 deep, meaning everyone is playing 25 plus minutes. These guys just fail to have a "Fail to Lose" attitude.

Face it! This group of Cats just aren't very good at all.

Trap him, double him, do whatever it took to stop him, no reason a player should ever come into Rupp Arena and drop 40 pts. Force him to go a way that he does not like going, for an example if he does not like going right, force him right, if he does not like going left force him to go his left.

Are you KIDDING me? What game did you watch! I watched an A&M team with ONE offensive weapon - O-N-E, yet the Cats completely failed to play transition defense! The Cats were a head bigger than A&M team that had NO SIZE, yet we let them get rebounds that they had no business getting to. The number of poor passes that led to A&M pick and score began in the first minute of the game! Again I ask, this game was fraught with allowing a team that had no business being on the floor with UK, yet you say UK didn't play that bad????????????????????? Amazing!

I Love UK. UK Sucked today!

Elston Turner was a beast today! But no reason to come to rupp and beat UK. Noel was a man today! The rest of the team needs that heart

I am losing faith in this UK team.
But I feel like they have the potential to be something great.
Not much time is left before March Madness..
They need to step it up and step it up now.

Kentucky Basketball: envy our past, fear our future, forget the present

somebody needs to step up, this team is way too talented to be this mediocre

This UK team has no guts. They have no will. They have million dollar talent, but 5 cent hearts. They dont like contact and if you push them around, theyll fold like a chair. They are halfway through the season, and they are still lazy, careless, lackadaisical, and bored. And nothing short of a miracle will bring them out of it. They beat the worst team in the SEC by two points, and teams with inferior talent have handed them their ass all year. Best games theyve played all year? Theyve lost both of them (Louisville and Duke). NIT bound.

if they dont play ANY BETTER, they may not go to the NIT...

Were horrible.

I know the Cats needed a miracle to win with 2 mins to go in the game, but I have never seen a UK team give up totally like they did in the last 2 mins of the game. It was embarrassing!

Nerlens Noel is playing how we need him too. Boy Alex Potthress shows these signs that he can be so dominate sometimes. Wish he would busy out of his shell and play aggressive. I think Goodwin could be a great player, but he tried to be too fancy and tries to go fast when he don't need to and gets himself In all kinds of trouble!

Enjoy the NIT

Real UK fans never lose faith in our boys. Ever.

I'm still confident that with our great coaching and good talent, we'll get it together. Very impressed with Noel's and Harrow's improvement.

Lol, no we're not. Just don't have a good leader and not much team chemistry. Not horrible by any means man.

If we keep playing like we are, were never gonna be ranked in the top 25 and we will miss the tourney all together.

Thats my definition of horrible.

Calipari can't coach. Bring back Tubby Smith.

At the first of the year, I thought Poythress would be an animal. He's been one of the biggest disappointments Ive ever seen wearing a UK jersey.
And Vundy, I love you like a brother, and I cant help but to be impressed with your optimism, but Im not seeing anything in this year's team to be optimistic about. The problem with this year's team is that these guys are just hurrying through the year so they can declare for the draft. Im afraid this will be the first NIT team in history to have five people declare for the draft lol..However, Im sure theyll get it turned around for one game at least, when they can my Hogs lol..

Hahah, I couldn't care less for the rankings. I just want to play strong in SEC play and get to March. It helps us that the SEC is down but not for seeding, at all. Sucks, but I definitely think we will make it and make some noise.

I'm just a glass half full guy Hoss, lol. I see all the talent we have and the improvement. So much better than Nov and Dec. With Harrow playing like this and Noel, hopefully Poythress getting that passion back, I see good things.

We're spoiled after last year. I know we'll find what it takes.

Poythress is killing me too though. Played with more energy and passion vs Vandy, then came back down this game. Glad that Cal has given him some 1 on 1 time. He is a beast and can dominate nearly anyone with that body, we're all waiting on him to find 'it' and step up. I think he eventually does...
