Ravens 38 - Broncos 35 (2OT)
#1
Final

Lol typical Peyton manning. That's why he shouldn't be in the same conversation with Tom Brady . He is a choke artist in the playoffs.
#3
Boom.
Ravens advance.

Did Tebow win more playoff games than Peyton Manning as a Bronco? Confusedhh:

Lets not bring Tebow into anything.
He'll be lucky to be in the league in 3 years.

Im the only person who had the Ravens going into the AFC Championship.
Over half picked them to lose to the Colts.

I got them in the championship game with the packers . This is the year they make it to the big one.

Peyton Manning is 9-11 in the playoffs. Eight times he has not won a game. Not a great postseason QB.

I fully believe that Manning is one of the best QB's to ever play the game.
However, hes been less than impressive when it comes to the playoffs.
I honestly dont think its choking though. I believe he has the worst bad luck of all time.
His defense should have never put him in a situation where he could have thrown that INT tonight at the end of the game.
His defense were the real choke artist.

Dang......this hurts my playoff picks. [Image: http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-angry021.gif]

Flacco = Elite

He's getting there, but until he wins something, it wont be complete IMO.
He HAS to win the SB this year if he wants to reside at Elite street. Next year we lose the best leader this league has ever seen.

Flacco, Rice, Boldin, and Smith are all capable of being here for the foreseeable future. Its the defense that worries me. Ed Reed has 2 or 3 more years at most, and Suggs is staying injured all the time. We have to get a good LB or DB for next year in this draft.

WildcatK23, just being mean to Peyton Manning tonight because his Packers sucks!!!

Broncos scored 35 points... Peyton ain't the reason Broncos loss.... Champ Bailey has to take most of it, got burnt ALL day, and what Def gives up a 75 yard TD under a minute with a 7 point led.....

Colts are out, Peyton is out.... Just a fan of the game now...

But... Cowboys are out, Packers are out, and all I need now is for the Patriots to get beat and it won't be such a bad year...

And I say, what did he do that Tebow didn't? Give him a chance, he's a winner!

Rodgers has the same amount of Super Bowls then manning, Will catch him in MVPs.

It's vintage manning to throw an int when he shouldn't.

By the way . In regulation how can u run the ball with Peyton manning on 3rd and 7?

As a Pats fan I have no idea how I feel today. Glad for a home game if we win today but the Ravens always play us so tough!

What's up with long td's in Denver in the playoffs. Last year those same fans were celebrating a miracle now this.

His defense were the real choke artist.

In the grand scheme of Mannings career if you were to ask him what three passes he would want the opportunity to throw again....yesterdays INT will make the cut.

On every level that football should have never been thrown...but yet it was. Manning is a top 20 all time nfl qb. Yes, if not for him this season the Broncos aren't in the playoffs. However, fear overtakes this guy when it comes to closing the deal. Some have the ability to overcome it and others fall in the heat of the battle.

His defense did put them there and the great ones find a will power, heart, and perserverance to lead his team to victory. We're watching some great football this weekend. If someone should be upset at their D lets talk about the Seahawks Wink! And if someone should be upset at their coach lets talk about the Seahawks as well!!!

Denver was a huge favorite.
According to some procrastinators, the Ravens should have never been int he game.

Transpose the Colts uniforms over to the Bronco's - this looked like the Peyton in Indy mistake after mistake that we have seen play out year after year. And the Bronco's defense was replaced by the miserable defense that made the Colts perennial losers in the playoffs!

Not sure I agree with Manning being a "choke artist"...the guy has been to the Superbowl twice (1 of which he won).

IMO, I think teams rely on Manning too much so when close games do happen, it is left up to Manning to win it or lose it so he takes chances.
#25
I found our answers this morning regarding Mannings performance. He didn't have enough long underwear on Confusednicker:.

In his playoff history when the temperature is below 40 degress his record is 0-4, with 4 TDs and 9 INTs.

So we now know why he checked down to a run on 3 and 7 when it should have been " go time." He was freezing his hind end off and his arm had turned into a limp noodle or frozen log ( take your pick ). Best of luck to the Ravens. I really wouldn't like to see the Pats in the super bowl again!

With all due respect, had one of the Broncos DB's not fell backwards in a horrible attempt to defend Jacoby, he wouldnt have had to throw this pass.

The one he lost he threw a pick that looked more like the pass was intended for Tracy Porter than any Colt in crunch time. At the end of the day, Manning gets blown up when he does this because he's 9-11 in the playoffs, and for some that might be pretty good but there's another guy in the league at the same time who is 16-6, 3 Super Bowls, 5 AFC titles ... and Manning can't be called the greatest with that guy across the league in NE doing what he does.

This loss was all about the Broncos' lackluster defense in my opinion. If you are at home, the heavy favorite to win, have the advantage of being rested up an extra week, and still give up 35+ points, your chances of winning are slim regardless of who your quarterback is.
#29
Broncos defense was terrible in this game and when you constantly have to score in the 30's to win in the playoffs like Peyton has had to, you are gonna come up short most of the time. This defense got lit up on several occasions this year and did nothing in this game. Football is the ultimate team sport and way too much credit and to much blame is given to the QB's now days. Brady is great and so is Peyton, Brees and Rodgers. Brady has a better offensive line than the rest of these QB's put together and the benefit of having the best head coach in the game with a system that allowed New England to win 10 games the year Brady missed. The Colts won 2 when Peyton was out. Denver needs to put a defense together around Peyton and a Wes Welker like posession reciever as well. So much of what Brady does is Dump offs with runs after the catch. Very similar to Montana back in the day and his recievers are normally wide open all the time.

They won games all year because Peyton did not turn the ball over. 3 in this game. His fault.
