Not surprising...
Holmes is by far the best team up north.

Great game between two Top 20 (state poll) teams. Great atmosphere, packed house, intense competition from start to finish. Enquirer story said XU coach Chris Mack was at the game to watch Holmes soph James Bolden play. (He scored 27.) Holmes seems to play better on the road than at home. Bulldogs were focused the entire four quarters, unlike the previous nail-biter vs. Holy Cross. CovCath played well for three and a half quarters. I think Holmes' lead was only 3 with about 4 minutes to go, then CovCath unraveled a bit at the end, as indicated by the 11-point margin. This was a huge game for Holmes because now Holy Cross and CovCath will square off in district play, and the loser will go home. Play of the game: CovCath kid banked in a three-quarter-court three-pointer at the end of the first half, cutting Holmes' halftime lead from 7 to 4. Crowd went nuts.
