Chopper Live: The Revenge
#1
Anybody watch this last night?

Did the best bike win?
#2
I watched it.
And its hard to say. You can see to much on t.v.
I knew PJ was going to win from the beginning as hes the fan favorite.

I thought Senior actually building a bike this time helped him and i think his bike looked just as good as Juniors.
To be honest, i have never been a fan of jesse james' bikes so i could care less what he did, but the grease monkey guys did pretty good for someone who hasnt ever built bikes before.

I think i liked seniors, than juniors, then grease monkeys, and then james'.

Not to mention, JJ took like 6 weeks over the allotted time and should have been DQ'd.

I can sorta agree. I thought Senior's bike was very nice. And I would like to ride it. It was a work of art IMO. I knew Junior was going to win but I would not enjoy riding it. Too big and bulky for my taste. Gas Monkey had a nice bike, but basically just redone a Harley. They didnt really build it IMO. As far as pure craftsmanship, JJ is the most talented of all. But he is a tool. I was hoping they would show JJ whippen the gas monkey guy. lol

I didn't like any of the bikes. PJD's bike was too big and I just didn't like the design. Gas Monkeys' bike wasn't designed by them. It was just two bikes put together. I guess I liked Paul Senor's and JJ bikes the best but didn't really like either of them.

I am watching it now. I DVR'd the last two nights and watching it in between Honey-Do's while I am off this week.

SPOILER for me, I guess I should not have read the above, so now I know who wins....

I'll give you more thoughts later

 I agree. He reminds me of the guy in high school that was always trying to act cool but never really was able to pull it off.

If it was based on only craftsmenship, then Jesse James should have won. None of those guys fabricates as well as he does. Yes he is a tool but the best at what he does.

I really didn't care who won. I am not a fan of Junior's bikes. All of his bikes seem to have a "theme" and that doesn't appeal to me.

The Gas Monkey guys seem like they were invented just for TV.

OK, the show and the build-off was called Chopper Live! No bike was a chopper, this this came down to creative design.

What I saw from the Gas Monkeys was to take an already made bike, break it down and refurbish it! It's a cool bike, one I would love to have, but it failed to meet the creative BUILD that this competition was meant to be. Thus, I disqualified them from the beginning.

Jesse's arrogance is cool and maybe even justified, but his constant degrading of the competition grows old! When I go buy something and all I hear from the salesman is him downing the competition, then I shut down and look elsewhere. I got to that point with Jesse. Brag about yourself, but when you constantly harp on the other team and say the other team is afraid of you, then all I can think is you are afraid of them! Yes, he fabricated a GREAT bike! He was very creative, and I really liked the simplicity, yet power of his bike. But it just looked like a beefed up offroad racing bike. Not what I thought this competition was about.

Senior was off the chart with the all aluminum frame. That was cool and it truly was the ONLY custom fabrication. Besides the power train, the OCC Bike was 100% fabrication, which sold me on them being the closest to what the intent of the bike buildoff was meant to be. Yet, as with Jesse, they build a sport bike, not a custom street bike!

Junior proved again, that his ability to LOOK at something and build it out his EYE, not paper, not CAD drawings, but purely from look and feel! He proved to me, that he is the most creative guy of the foursome! I've seen both PJD and OCC make car based bikes in the past, but Jr's was the best ever made (Even better than the Cadilac). This competition is about creating a street bike (if Chopper is the correct term), and using creativity to reach the end point. Yes, Jr's bikes are theme bikes, but he does a great job of taking a theme and actually turning it into a street looking chopper! He met most points of the criteria in my mind, thus, I felt his bike was the best and deserved the top spot!

My Ranking

Personally, the only one I would ride is the third one down.
I'm in love with Tawnya.. hehe..

Tom is not my friend....

if you have any questions send me a p.m.

Personally, Dusty, I liked both caddy bikes better.

Wonder how many people voted for the builder rather than the bike just because they personally liked one or the other better. There is no doubt that JJ is probably the most talented of all the builders, but he sure does lack people skills. I think there is a lot of fabricated drama built into these shows, but I cant help believe that that is the real Jesse James. I really think he could care less about what anybody thinks about anything. I also feel there is a genuine hatred on his part towards Richard Rawlings. I dont that was an act at all.

Actually I liked the design of Juniors the best and probably liked Gas Monkey's the least, even though I really do love the Fast and Loud show.

2 & 3?

Lets not forget that the "talented" jesse james took 6 weeks over the deadline :lmao:

They would be ranked the same as you ranked yours. I agree with you.

Personally I think that James should have been DQed to begin with. I think you do have to consider that Jesse did hand fabricate pretty much everything he did, himself. I'll give him that. He didn't have a million dollar water jet and the so forth. But I know where you are coming from. Actually from what I saw, James and Kaufman were the two who did most of the hands on work. In my mind they are the two craftsmen. But the level of technical difficulty in their respective projects were not even close to being on the same level. Like it has been mentioned, the Gas Monkey bike was more of a resto-mod restoration, while James' was a hand built creation. Junior and Sr. pretty much relied on a staff to do their work, while I never saw Rawlings ever even pick up the first tool. Junior and Sr. may have been the master minds behind their projects but I saw a lot of delegating going on.

If I was going to purchase one of those bikes, it would probably be the Gas Monkey one because that is the style that appeals to me. However, if I wanted to buy one to show off to people, it would be the one from JJ.

As far as a bike to RIDE, I'd take the Fast and Loud bike over any of the four..Paul Jr's bike was nice to look at, but I bet its uncomfortable to ride, and forget trying to ride it any distance whatsoever. JJ has unbelievable talent, but to me, his bike was an abomination. I actually like JJ (although I hated this bike) because you are right, I dont think he puts on an act. I think the Fast and Loud guys are nothing but an act, and Ill never forgive them for turning a beautiful white '64 Fairlane into a hideous Mexican lowrider, and for turning a perfectly good '71 Lincoln into a rap star car lol..I despise Richard Rawlings, and I think the Fast 'n Loud style is awful for the most part. I liked the '50 Olds they done, and I cant help but watch the show, but I really do hate their style for the most part. However, I thought their bike was the most usable of the four, and Im an old school bike guy, so I kind of liked it, lol..
