a great example of ESPN controlling college sports
when you've got money, you got power
when you've got money, you got power

Every
Sport
Price is not problem
Nice to have all the money
that what espn should stand for!! they control just about every sport there is except the NFL which they will soon try to take over

Why doesnt these smaller college football teams just ask for a new division?
Its obvious mid majors will never compete with the SEC, B10, B12, and the rest of the power confrences.
Make all those others D-2 and still have bowl games for them.
Then you could just slide down D2 to D3 and D3 to D4
