The Tigers get the win.

Tigers continue to look efficient offensively. If they will get better on their team defense then they will be a hard out in the 13th

Clay County looked pretty good from what I seen!

Clay's Bowling did a great job-didn't Coach Marcum say this was his first varsity year?

Bowling had a very nice game, 19 and 12 I believe. This is his 2nd year playing organized basketball since grade school. Clay County has the best player in the region (McDaniel), the most physically gifted player (Reed) and the two biggest surprises in Rice and Bowling. Add 2 yr starter Lyttle and the two most athletic freshmen in maybe the mountains and you've got a team that will be tough once they come together. Nobody over 6'3 is there only downfall, but there guards are big and athletic enough to help carry the load rebounding and defensively. Can't wait to see them play North and Harlan Co.

Clay County has no worries offensively. It is at the defensive end in which they have somewhat of hitch. The problems are fixable and Tigers continue to be one of the Big 3 in the hunt of the 13th region crown.

The Tigers are out to shock people! By late Feb, they could be the team to beat.

Watched this team for the third time Saturday night. While the freshman are freaky athletic, their basketball IQ is dismal and they are lacking in the effort department. The IQ part is expected since they are only freshman, but the lack of effort extremely surprised me. I feel that this teams path will be dictated by the play of Rice. If the kid continues to play well and get better I think they are serious contenders. If not, then they will have an absolute dogfight to make it to the second week of the postseason.

I think they might just do that!

Hit and Run - I will agree that the Tigers lack a sense of effort against weaker opponents. Rice is a very solid player, when he shows up it takes a lot off of McDaniel, Bowling, Lyttle, and Reed. I don't expect to see a lack of effort that often against Harlan, Perry, etc. They'll be fine. The schedule really plays into the boy's hands. They can make it what they want.

It doesn't sound like anyone in the region can play with them.

The only thing that may hurt the Tigers late in the season will be size. Other than that, I feel strongly that they have the best players in the region. I'd take Clay's top four over Harlan's any day. Quote me, write it down, whatever.
