Two teams harder. The rest of the schedule was easier than Fairviews'.

haha the difference is pikevilles non district schedule was better competition thats what helps you in the playoffs this time of year..and if sheldon clarks rb had not gotten hurt the cards wouldv been a better team and may had changed the W-L column..i just think fairview is very beatable and not this big giant undefeated team that they wish they wer..yes they r good and have gotten better since last year esp. in the skill area but this is high school football..for you to go beyond just being good to great you have to have great lineman thats wer the game is won and i think pikeville has the better of the two

:popcorn:Mastadon, I would not even make any replies to this if I was a Pikeville fan, player, student, coach or whatever. The reason I say that is this. I would just let this stuff soak in until Friday. You guys seem to play great when yall are supposed to be the underdogs. Let them talk you and your schedule down. Let them thump their chests and smile. I think that really favors yall more than anything.

I can agree with this. I'm not a Fairview fan but they have the best set of skill players in Northeast Kentucky. I picked Raceland to beat them during the regular season because I thought Raceland was better along the line of scrimmage. I still think that but Fairview held there own up front and those skill players made plays.
Was Pikevilles non district schedule stronger than Fairview? Yes. But not by that much. Belfry and the North Carolina team were. Sheldon Clark was not as good as Fleming or the school out of Columbus that Fairview played.
I was playing devil 's advocate with the schedule stuff. Both of these schools rolled up a bunch of wins on weak teams.

Pikeville could be the most improved team in Class A. The coaching staff at Pikeville has done a great job.

But of love to see Pikeville pull it out.

The team from Ohio that Fairview beat is 5-5 with wins coming against teams that are 1-9, 1-9, 1-10, 2-8, and 4-6 for a total of 9-42. They are ranked 568th in the state of Ohio by Maxpreps.

Fairview by 3 scores... Pikeville is much improved but I just think the Eagles are too talented at the skill positions for Pikeville to match up well with them. I'd personally like nothing more then to see Fairview get beat but I just dont see it happening.

I really don't think there could be any question that Pikeville is the most improved team of the year, in 1a and maybe in all classes. You need not look any further than the two games against Raceland to figure that out. The question is, is that going to be enough improvement to get them past Fairview. I think they play the underdog roll as well as any team in 1a, so I would not count them out.

Here is to hoping for a great game on Friday and another Panther victory to bring #21 back to PHS. From what I hear Fairview is bringing everything but the school to Hambley, so I urge Panthers fans to attend and bring friends and more friends! Fairview is a very good team and PHS will need your help Friday Night when those lights come on! HAIL PIKEVILLE!
Also, I have seen multiple outlets refer to those kicks as "onside". One went 30 yards and the other went 35 yards. If they were, they were the worst in football history. The Spaniard knows what he is doing... Are you not entertained?!

Lots of respect for The Pikeville Panthers!
They play hard and with class!
But!! I have to root for the eagles. A team that imo doesn't play with a lot of class.
They won our district! And I respect that! I do believe the eagles will pay back the panthers.
The panthers will match the eagles intensity.
And the panthers will have a good game plan.
I believe the eagles have a little more speed and quickness.
Eagles +14!

Great video as always PT! When PT is making the big dollars we can all say we knew him way back when...
Also, big shoutout to the coaching staff at PHS. What an incredible job they continue to do. I love the new attitude - you can never count the Panthers out!

I am pulling for Pikeville to pull off another upset. Coach Mac is a classy individual and I am very happy to see the young Panthers maturing before our very eyes. i think it is a tall task and would consider Fairview a 2 TD favorite at least,,, but that's why you play football in November!
The one thing from watching that fantastic video by PT that stood out to me is the play of the QB Charles and the WR Estep. Anyone who follows HS football in EKY would attest Estep was a nice player at the start of the year, but he has taken his game to a new level and is a legitimate gamebreaker.
Charles may be the most improved player I have seen in the span of one season at Pikeville in a long time. Early this year he was a legit liability at QB. He would chuck deep passes without knowing where he was throwing, he was unsure as a runner, and generally played timid. Now Charles has emerged into a gritty QB who can make plays with his feet and his arm, when pressured he is standing tall and delivering completions in spite of being tackled. He is also making very mature reads on when to hand it off or keep it and doing the things to extend drives and help field position instead of putting his defense in a no lose situation.
Pikeville has a tall task this week...but I cannot stress enough the value of last week's win and even playing in this game is to a team full of underclassmen.
