Should be a very good game. Nothing like a storied rivalry between 2 very even teams which I expect to lay it all on the line on Friday. I watched the Boyle Co vs. Russell Co. game on Hudl last night and saw how 1 play or untimely penalty, turn over, etc..... can completely change the momentum of the game big time, just as it did in the regular season game between Lex Cath and Boyle Co. Hope to have a very clean and injury free game. I'll see what i can do about those sailor-mouthed Lex Cath boys verbiage during the game but no promises.:welcome: I expect Lex Cath to win this game but Coach French always seems to make good adjustments after our first meeting every year. It may be tougher this year cause our QB is still learning every game and makes him kinda an unknown factor. 4 pt game.
#6
Should be a game the rebels let one slip through their fingers last time.
#7
I look for a low scoring Boyle County win - I'll say 21-17. French will make the necessary adjustments to pull out a win. Boyle's line dominated the first game. Look for them to end Catholic's season Friday.

Going with the Rebels in a nail-biter!

this game, the highlands covcath game, and the game between the winners are the most exciting and relevant games of 4A bracket.

I feel like this one will go back and forth a bit, but i think boyle will come out victorious. Although, if LexCath had superstar id go with them.

Boyle 36
LexCath 34

Statistic of interest from the regular season game.

4th quarter scoring; LC 12, BC 0
4th quarter TOP: LC - 00:54, BC - 11:06
#14
I see a close game with LC taking over in the 4th and winning by 10.
#15
I'm a fan of both teams, but I think Lexington Catholic is peaking at the right time. I'm going to say LC 35-21.
#16
If Boyle's defense is as good as it was last week, LexCath won't score more than 21 points, tops. But Boyle's offense has to be better this week for sure.
#17
Boyle's defense will be up to the task.

All you can say about that is.... WOW. I just don't see anything like that happening this week with the focused Rebel Defense. Looking for another classic game between what I think is the best rivalry in the state. Taking Boyle by 7-10 points.

Pretty neat. It seems that Rebel and Lambert are describing LC to a tee as they are describing Boyle Co. It seems that both teams are playing possibly their best football at the same time. Something has to give. 14-10 Lexington Catholic:popcorn:

I will go with Boyle Co.
#22
The two big differences i see in this game compared to the first game is that Boyle is relying more on the pass on the offensive side of the ball, and this makes them much harder to defend, and the passing attack is working very well.the other is on defense they're finally gang tackling like the Boyle defenses of old.it makes a big difference when your defense swarms to the ball instead of relying on one on one tackling.Boyle's deffinately playing there best ball of the season.on the other hand i'm sure Lex cath has improved since the first meeting as well.

As long as they don't give up the big play I look for the Rebels to come out victorious. Boyle County 28-14.

I agree. I think Boye will again try to run the ball and that will keep the score low and use time. I like Boyle 17-13
#29
It don't matter who win , because either one can't beat highlands.
#30
I think that if Boyle can get past LC they will beat Highlands the following week. Highlands is beatable. Boyle played them well in the first meeting and it seems that the Rebels have been improving. They shut down a very powerful offense last week in Russell County. I think their D will get them back to BG.

One game at a time though. Rebels by 10 this week. Rebels 21 to 14 next week.
