sstack Wrote:In saying the above you are saying that BG is much better than the Elder team that Highlands just went toe to toe with. I really, really doubt BG is anywhere near the team Elder is and if Highlands had a chance late in that game to win it, then the can and probably would beat BG.

The last couple of years i would have agreed with you guys on the fact that Highlands was still the best team in the state besides T.
This year, i just feel differently. I fully believe BG will come out and embarrass Lex Cath, and I thinks its very possible that Warren Central is better than Lex Cath...

As always, that's cute.

The Purples lead the state in defense. They have only allowed 61 points the entire season. They have given up 10 points in the last six games, including four straight shutouts. They are starting to look like last years team. I hope Lexington Catholic can expose any weaknesses the Purples have.

Score Now! Wrote:Mr. Lambert, I read some of your post from time to time and you my friend are clueless. Bowling Green is really good, but they are not even close to being in the same league as Enswoth. Don't let your hatred of Catholic blind you to reality. Bowling Green may beat LC, but it will be a good game. Have you even seen Bowling Green play or just voicing your hope that Catholic gets beat? Good Luck to both teams! Should be a great tune up for the playoffs. Both teams will be better because of this game.

Score... Jack Lambert has express his hatred for Catholic in many post in the past. Ignore his post brother.

Lex Cath has played well (except for the TV game) but I think Bowling Green is the second best team in the state this year. I don't see anyone in 5A taking them down. Lex Cath has played well without Bolin, but you are going to see he is missing in this game. The level of competition has been elevated, and I think Bowling Green wins by 3TD's. This doesn't mean Lex Cath will not be in the mix for a 4A title, they are top 4 for sure even without Bolin. The problem is there are four good team in their region this year and any one could win it. On a side note, I would love to see BG and HHS play--for claim to 2nd in the state--I would have to take BG.

Nobody will beat BG in 5A, i promise you that.
After they beat Warren Central again, and then John Hardin, the State Championship game will be a blowout IMO...no matter who comes out of the east...

4A in the East is a beast. 5A, not so much.

How is 4A in the East a beast when Highlands will beat every 4A team in the east to get to the state championship game by 4Td's in the playoffs?
#44
I agree 4A in the East is good. In the West, not so much.

It's the opposite in 5A.

Boyle,Lex Cath,Cov Cath, name one team in the west that can beat any of those 3 or Highlands.

I don't think there's a team in the West that can beat those 4 or Knox Central, Russell Co, Ashland, or Johnson Central. Lone Oak may be the best of the west and they've struggled. Warren East has had a good season, but their competition has been really down this season.

There are none.

I totally agree with you, the west is very weak

I think Warren East or Owensboro will be the 4A team that comes out of the West.

I agree.

Nasty cold and wet weather tonight may force a lot of passing teams to grind it out on the ground. Football weather. I love it.
