#1 - Richard Trent - Breathitt County
#2 - Jarrel - Prestonsburg
#3 - Pray - Perry Central
#4 - Whitaker - Hazard
#5 - Sizemore - Williamsburg
Theres probably 10 more just as good as those 5 but I havent saw them all play.

Richard Trent is the best dual threat quarterback in the mountains. He can beat you with his arm and his legs. He has put the bobcats on his back this year and when a big play is needed he always seems to come through. Sizemore from Williamsburg is also a great quarterback but what separtes the two from eachother is Trent's experience. Next year Sizemore will be the best quarterback in the mountains but this year it is Trent.

I have said this before and will say it again:
There is Richard Trent....
Then there is Sizemore....
Then there is every one else...

I wouldn't call Tim Couch a "nfl star"...But I will call him a "could have been incredible" had he not ran for his life and spent 80% of his rookie campaign on the ground, with no running game. They ruined what could have been one of the better quarter backs of the 2000s.

You all are crazy man... ethan horton from leslie county is the best qb ive seen since Tim Couch... This kid will go D1 man just wait and see he is close to being as good as tim couch was

I'm going to go with tiny Tebow on this one. Dalton Sizemore has incredible talents. He has a strong of an arm as anyone in the state and he runs the ball really well. The difference is his will to win that I believe will translate well at the next level despite his lack of height.
I also agree with Bronson though. The Deuce would have been in the league today if it weren't for the fact he played for the worst team in the history of the NFL. You can't get hit that much and endure that much punishment on your body without it breaking down and that's what happened to him.

Sizemore is very strong benching around 300lbs. At a combine in Lexington this summer he got a lot of attention when he done 26 reps and the next closes was 13, this included a lot of the big name qb's in the state.Sizemore also grew 2" last year and is over 6' now.

The kid is a beast. That's good to know he's above the 6' cut-off. If he could stretch to 6'3 or 6'4 he could make some noise nationally in recruiting. I'd like to see him attend Friday Night Lights at UF this summer. He'd turn heads and could potentially be a 3 or 4 star guy when he leaves that night.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but he is at least a couple of inches under 6'. May still grow though. He is definitely the strongest player on the team and the bet QB I have seen this year.

no bubble to be busted, pull off his shoes and get your ruler out or look on the national underclassman combine results held in Lexington last year. they measured him in barefeet at 6' and it's not his coach or daddy measuring. Over the last 3 years they have measured him at this combine he has grown 2 inches.

Dalton is a Super Talent. He will play on Sat. for a D1 School.

Im going with sizemore on this one just because he has put up the number every single year
2011 first year playing as a High School QB
732 rushing yard for a team that is prominently a pass team 2583 pass yard and 25 td's
2012 season to date
2251 pasing yards and 29 td's through the air rushing may not be good but heck why run when you can do the work with your arm
I cant wait to see his stats next year they will be off the chart

Hey I already said I think he is the best around, but as far as his height all I can say is I'm 5'11" and he is at least 2 inches shorter than me. I don't think height is that important though. Isn't that 5'10" Russell Wilson playing for Seattle. How about Warren Moon or Doug Flutie. They were pretty good. He still has a very strong and accurate arm with great touch on the deep passes.

You cant compare any of these boys to Tim Couch. Sizemore hasnt beaten any good teams yet. How would he do against Highlands or Trinity? Put up 300 passing yards against them and then I may compare him to Tim. Tim was #1 in the NFL DRAFT! And one more thing "Williamsburg will never beat Hazard" not this year, NOT EVER. Mark Dixon has a Dynasty up there. Enjoy the playoffs Jackets because the DOGS will eat you soon.:biglmao:

take your sensles information to another thread, this thread i solely about the better qb nothing about williamsburgs team or hazards team. Your statement about sizemore quarterbacking against highlands or trinity is ridiculous. 1a team vs a 5a and 6a team would'nt work. I bet if sixemore were the quarteback of say saint x and played aginst trinity his numbers would be pretty dang good. you are completely off topic

I agree that Dalton is a good 1A Quarterback. However, there is a huge difference between that class and the rest of the classes in Ky. He may play college football somewhere but it will NOT be division 1. Too slow, too short and no experience against the class of athletes he would see at that level. good luck to him and Williamsburg in the playoffs. Hope they win the state!!

I'm not saying Dalton is or isn't 6 ft, but I do know that when my friend's son who is 6'3" was measured at 6'4 and a half. This was at the NUC Shuman combine held at Bryan Station High. Just saying

There are no Tim Couch's in KY high school football this year or next and may never be another #1 round draft choice from this state. Know body knows this better than Daltons family since his uncle Mike was Tim's high school coach and it is unfair to compare any qb in the state to Tim. Dalton has played in 2 games which showed he gets up for the competition. Against Hazard he passed for 169 yard in the first half (12/20) before leaving the game with 3 minutes left due to a concusion. The most yardage Hazard gave up last year in a entire game was 133 yards against Somerset and Breathitt, so I say he passed the test against the state champions. This year against a top5 2a team in tenn, he was 24/41 265 yards and 2 td's so i believe he passed that test also. Mark Dixon is a great coach and Hazard is what every team wants to be (defending state champs). But to say Williamsburg will never beat Hazard is crazy, thats like saying PCC never cheated on the ACT.:rules::ban::ref2::policeman:policeman:policeman YOU HAVE BEEN SERVED

Quarterback is the one position where if a player can play he can play. There are numerous quarterbacks in the NFL that did not come from football factories. Phil Sims/Morehead, Favre/Southern Miss, Rothlisberger, Miami of Ohio, Unitas/Louisville. All of these guys have super bowl rings. Quarterbacks seem to be able to convert their skills no matter the stage. Sizemore is right at 6', has good speed and a strong arm. Those skills will convert anywhere. I have not seen a lot of these kids so it would be impossible for me to say which is best. He weighs in the 190 lb range. He ran a sub 4.8 laser timed. This is not a Joker hand held time. Copperhead you exposed your self when you said to slow.

SO much talent gets over looked because they don't fit a certain mold.
10-25-2012, 11:35 PM
Numbers don't always judge how good a Qb is. The kid from Lesile is a good Qb and is close to breaking couch's td record. But couch didn't never hardly play a full game . But beside the point Trent is the best in the mts. Qb's are kind of down in the mts this year but Trent is one of the best Qb's to ever put the blue on and that is saying something because bobcats have been blessed with a great coach and some awesome Qb's.
10-25-2012, 11:45 PM
^^ agreed couch never seen the second half except for a couple of games his senior season. U can break a record by running up the score on some teams but if u do break one then it is bragging rights. Horton is a good qb. I think hes right up there with whitaker and pray but trent and sizemore are the two best ive seen. All qbs throw the ball well im just ready for some playoffs!!!

He is a good football player but at least in my mind not nearly as good as some they have had there in the past, like the Greer kid.
