Depends how healthy Somerset is in this one IMO. Healthy, Somerset wins, if not, Danville wins. These danville seniors don't know what it is like to beat Somerset. Maybe a mental edge there because lately Somerset has had their number.

Danville hasn't beat Somerset since the Cold War ended. This is there best chance. However, they are like Rex Ryan or Obama. Media darling. Somerset wins if healthy going away. 21-6 Jumpers

I'm thinking the same thing. No player on Danville's Team know what it's like to beat a Somerset Team. Not even Middle School. If Jumpers get Healthy this week they Win!!!!

I think Somerset has beaten Danville over the last 3 years or so but before that Danville dominated the series from what I remember. . I definitely like the Ads in this one.
09-30-2012, 03:09 PM
Also, the Ads hadnt beaten Boyle Co in two years but like Somerset have a substantial margin in the head to head matchup. That two year span didnt seem to stop them this year.

Probably sounds like I am beating a dead horse but, the outcome of this game will depend on who is on the field Friday night. I think they will make a good game out of it either way but, if they're at full strength with everyone healthy they will be able to remind Danville that they're the red headed step child in this district!

I totally agree that somerset has owned Danville of late, but injuries may get the best of them in this one.
Danville-10
Somerset-8

I just don't know if Somerset has enough offense to win this one. If you take out the stats from the Southwestern game--and given their little league defensive scheme I think you have to, then Somerset has scored 10 offensive touchdowns in 5 games. I don't think 14 points will win this one. We are 6 games into the season. It's time to quit talking about the potential of the offense and how the special team miscues and silly penalties will get cleaned up. It's time to live up to that potential and quit making mistakes that shouldn't be made. It's time for Danville. Hopefully the team pulls together and gets a 5th straight win over the Admirals.

Actually Whitley proved you can only score 14 on them and win.
Danville will win this one going away. Somerset struggles on offense way to much and may be overrated due to that problem. They have a top 10 defense but not so much on offense. Plus they will have about 5-9 guys out this week, if you listen to the rumors.

Somerset gets back in the groove.
Somerset 21
Danville 14

People are believing the hype on Danville from the Lex Herald Leader. Somerset has owned Danville since the cold war ended. Cant remember the last time Danville won. Like when Cheers went off the air Norm-- that's the last time Danville did much also. Sure, it's there best chance. But come on... Somersets offense struggled last year too and they dominated Danville. Silly talk from the haters. Last week was a wash. Glasgow game showed a pretty efficient Offense. The horses will be ready 34, 83,22, 44

If everyone is back, Somerset 28-13.
If we still have a few guys out with injuries, Somerset 17-13.

Danville 20 Somerset 14.

Somerset is on a downward spiral right now.

I think Danville finally breaks through and beats the jumpers this season. Winner of this game has homefield in the playoffs and inside track to the state championship.
09-30-2012, 09:12 PM
And will stay that way until they change quarter backs. imo
09-30-2012, 09:43 PM
The Jumpers haven't been at full strength since the Hazard game. If they get that way this week they will win going away IMO.
09-30-2012, 10:12 PM
Somerset 14
Danville 21

Danville wins this week and again if they make it that far to play the Ads in the playoffs.
09-30-2012, 11:28 PM
Weather conditions and injuries played to much of a factor in the Whitley game IMO. Jumpers beat a similar team athletically and in their same class in Glasgow two weeks ago... Guess we'll see, some folks jump ship after two losses I guess, just remember the jumpers are 1 game up ffrom where they were last yea at this point, and people had the same doubts. They will be closer to full strength this week with Lange healthy... Surely the Somerset faithful could see how many skill kids were down Friday. Jumpers physical schedule to this point will be what makes the difference in this district, and there is a distinct disliking for the admirals in the Shs locker room, has been that way for years.

After one game in the mud, fog, and 5 starter out? Really? Not to mention it was a 14-7 ball game that we really shouldn't have lost... Penalties and turnovers were killer, but a downward spiral?
10-01-2012, 12:14 AM
I like Somerset in this one 28-21

Somerset is a little banged up but their defense will stand strong. Somerset wins 14-7.

The Cold War ended in 1989 so you are a bit off there. You're either too young to remember or your memory skills aren't what they should be.
The Ads last won in '06 but then again they haven't played each other every year since then either.
As to the last time Danville "did something" they were in the state finals in '06. They last won a title in '03. When was the last time Somerset won the title? Oh, yeah.

Actually the Ads hadn't beaten Boyle since 2007.

I believed the hype about Somerset this year and that their offense would come along. Well Danville folks I'm sorry I doubted you all this year. Danville wins this one. Danville will have the most speed Somerset has seen all year and you know what they say speed kills. I could see it being Danville 21-7 or 21-14.
