Simon Kenton @ Newport Central Catholic 9/15

7 pm 9/15 @ Newport Stadium

Who wins and why?

I don't see the Pioneers struggling in this one at all! Could easily be a running clock game!

Let's hope so. Ncc is terrible. This is a 2-8 team if the schedule wasn't so soft later in the year. 2a football is consistently the weakest class in the state.

Did have to laugh last night at the SK game. NewCath coaches decided to show up at halftime to scout our team. Guess it's been that kind of year for the breds. Didn't know if they scouted someone else the first half or were to cheap to pay to get in....

It's ok Wide we know you lost to them when you played them Confusedhh:
But if Ncc were to go 2-8 you would have to go back to 1998 when they went 2-9. one losing season in the last 14 years.

Those kind of seasons never have happened at Highlands. When I played we beat them 62-0 and Bobby(the all time losingiest coach in ky history) took his ball and went home. He hasn't been back since. Check the facts. I believe he has more losses than any coach in ky history.

Are you referring to the 1998 Season when Highlands beat them 62-0? Why were they on the schedule then? Couldn't find anyone else to play or was it a home in home setup? Its must of been hard to find cupcakes then with so many District Games But I still have to ask if HHS Was at the time the best team in all classes why were they on the schedule? Why no Elder or colerain that year? Was it getting over the one point lost from Moeller the year before? Just a few questions I had.

Also your thoughts since you let them fly. Can Highlands win against covcath giving up 30 points a game this year?
If the offense doesn't come out on fire... Hows the punting been?
This year how many big play have gone for TD's on the defense/special teams? Against teams one dimensional on offense? How well has the pass rush been on defense? How many TD passes has Covcath throw this year?
Yeah your going to say their schedule is garbage right. Both have their share of cupcakes. None of that will matter. or will it?
In two weeks We'll know won't we.
Home field riding on it!

Maybe you should start a Highlands Covcath discussion. Simon Kenton beats Newcath 41 to 14.

I think this game is a little closer than a running clock. SK wins, but expect it to be tight early. NCC will run out of gas, but that usually happens when you don't have the depth to keep your stars fresh.
#13
NCC is terrible but if anybody can find a way to lose this one it's Hop24 and Simon Kenton!

Coming from the same kid that picked Holmes 28-14 over SK last week.Only took a half to win 31-7. What a tired act.

^ when was the last time Simon Kenton beat a non-middle school team?

Simon Kenton - 27 - NCC 22

Ncc will score first and then again, But then they run out of gas. If they had a little more depth they would be much better. Kids can't complain about playing time.

Now I get the 01 at the end of your screen name. You were a Soph on that team. You may want to rephrase what you said above to, "When I watched Jared and Derek play."

I'd go to see ncc lose if it was at Simon Kenton, but I don't want to give ncc $5.
