Video of Kentucky record-setting QB Dylan Beasley
#1
A 21-year-old Kentucky state football record fell over the weekend as Nelson County (Bardstown, Ky.) raced to a 59-38 victory over Marion County (Lebanon, Ky.).

Nelson County quarterback Dylan Beasley completed 30 of 43 passes for a record 652 yards and eight touchdowns. He nipped the previous record - held by Jesse Watts of Sheldon Clark - by a single yard. The record had stood against the onslaughts of such stars as Tim Couch, Chris Redman, Brian Brohm and Corey Robinson.

Beasley told the Kentucky Standard, "They were blitzing a lot and leaving my hot reads open. It's crazy, kind of a surreal feeling. It's very gratifying to know all the hard work's paying off. I have to give a bunch of credit to my line and receivers."

Coach Jamie Egli added, "He took some shots, stood right in there and delivered strikes all night."

Four receivers caught over 100 yards in passes, led by senior Khalil Bourn with five catches for 227 yards and four touchdowns, which tied him for No. 3 in state history.
