I had to google this. But it sounds like so much fun!! It's kinda like treasure hunting, using GPS and all the techno gadgets about which I don't have a clue.

As Granny stated, it is a worldwide treasure hunt. It is actually coming up on its 12 year anniversary.

Basically you visit the Geocaching website, check for Caches around your area, plug in the coordinates on a handheld GPS and go searching. You sign your name to a log in the container and online.

I like the outdoors and this gives me a reason to visit new areas.

Wow, that sounds great!
Question: You say it's a world wide event, yet you search locally...correct?
So, are there lots of different destinations listed...even in SE KY?

Yes, there are actually thousands in Kentucky. The small town I live in has a couple hundred.....two right next to my house.

There is one (not sure what part of the world) that you have to jump down into a cave to find.

I recommend trying it out. You don't even need a GPS to begin, there is an app which will get you started.

App?
What kind and where would I find it?
Keep in mind, I didn't grow up with puters as everyone else did...
